Stone made the not so smart statement while on the red carpet in Cannes.

She was asked if she had heard about the disaster that hit China recently, and her answer was:

"Of course I have. Well you know at first I thought I'm not happy with the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans….and I've been concerned with should we have the Olympics because they're not being nice to the Dalai Lama who's a good friend of mine.

" And then all this earthquake and stuff happened and I thought, 'Is that Karma, when you're not nice and the bad things happen to you?'"

Nice, Sharon, nice. Do you apply the same logic to your work with AIDs victims? ;D

Oh, and I love the way she just had to throw in that the Dalai Lama was her "good friend."

What a horrible twat. I've always been entertained by her antics, but that puts her squarely on my Shit List. If I go by her definition, "karma" is 80,000 people dying because of the faults of their government? That kind of attitude is no better than the fundies who say that AIDS is a punishment for being gay. She might want to ask her "good friend" the Dalai Lama about that.

I would say that I'm going to boycott her movies, but really, what the hell has she been in lately? Does she even act anymore, or is she just a professional celebrity now like Paris?
