I don't have anything against the existence of Red Velvet cake, but it's tricky to make it from scratch. I guess I have some affection for it because it's a southern thing, and I always enjoy the "bleedin' armadillo groom's cake" from Steel Magnolias.

I appreciate its visual, yet the taste leaves me lacking. I feel like it's such a hipster cake choice for a wedding. All for the instagram...

My name is Rio and I like red velvet cake; I often make the red and white swirled version from Southern Living. This is why crayons comes in boxes of 48.
I think I am also one of eleven people on the planet who wishes this wedding was getting better coverage (I don't think I'll be able to watch), that Jack Brooksbank was getting a title, and that they weren't bent on slimming down the BRF.

I think The York Princesses would have liked to be working royals in the way the elder Kents and Gloucesters were, I think William would rather be an ariso all the perks no responsibility and Harry I think seems like the balance of his interests Sentabale and Invictus with his royal duties. I don't see the slimming down idea working without a bit of extra back up and I see the York girls being that back up.
Red velvet doesn't bother me much either way. Cake is cake and I always like to give all cake a chance. Equal opportunities cake taster here. 😁

I love red velvet cake and I don't really know why. It might be the cream cheese frosting that traditionally goes with it; cakes are just vehicles for frosting after all.
I'm more interested to see what Fergie is going to wear. She fascinates me.

It's unfortunate that Fergie is so sedate and well-behaved these days because I don't think she's going to bring the tackiness that I want.
DListed referred to this as the TJ Maxx Royal Wedding and that's how I feel about it.

That cake sounds better than Meghan and Harry’s cake to me (I’m not a fan of lemon cake.) While I was in London, I had a piece of H&M's cake at a bakery in Covent Garden. It was actually pretty tasty. Eugenie's cake sounds delightful too.
