All I know is that's the best description I've heard about this wedding. Thanks for the giggle.

While of course I will be checking all the frocks and pomp out online [/hypocrite], I honestly think that this type of public spectacle is gross for someone who does NO public service whatsoever. I know Andrew is paying the wedding bill but the UK is picking up the two million pound security cost. Really? For someone who takes seventeen holidays a year and has never cut a ribbon or been a charity patron in her life? Ugh. You'd be pretty pissed off if you were one of the Grenfell Towers people trying to get adequate compensation.

According to the internets, TJ Maxx became TK Maxx in Europe because it was potentially confusable with a shop called TJ Hughes. Aldi and Lidl are both Aldi and Lidl in the US, so...I guess it makes sense.

I do think her dress will be spectacular. It will either be gorgeous or it will be a spectacular mess. Either way, I bet it will have people talking more than both Kate's and Meghan's.

I'm european albeit on the edge and I have never heard of TJ Hughes so TJ, PJ, AJ, PK, TJK Maxx or whatevs I still like my handbags from there I have.
The amount of UK tax I paid way back might have paid for a security barrier once so I couldn't care less tho I think its Bea of the billionty holidays and such. Eugenie has had scolotis and surgery and I think been patron of its charity/organisation since. I could be totally wrong. Tho don't think either has ribbon cut anything in while.

Beatrice was born on the 8/8/88 the same summer I had my first summer job, dislocated my knee and Stefan Edberg won Wimbledon and Fergie and Andrew and baby Bea were on all the magazines all while I was suffering. It stayed with me.
Eugenie is the other one.
Still not much wiser on ol TJ Hughes. 😁 But I did shift* a few TJs and PJs in my time
*shift =snog/make out with.... I'll say no more

The big British royal wedding extravaganza is of course completely unnecessary, but I do wonder what would happen if she and her fiancé just decided to elope and get married in front of like, five people, or stage their reception at their favorite pizza place. Does the public feel like it is owed a big royal wedding? Is she doing this because she wants it, or because she feels like she should do it, because she's a princess?
For the record, I do feel like she wants an extravagant wedding. She has expensive tastes. But it makes me think about what kind of life she would lead if she didn't. Guilded cage, and all that.

This is a fascinating question--like, is her social circle heavily invested in conformity, or would it be the most extra if she ran off and eloped? Is it brave to follow along or to buck the expectations, and which are the expectations? I am intrigued.

I'm also intrigued, if no position or societal pressure would Will be even married now, would Harry have had a Vegas nuptials, Would Bea have married in haste her long term guy and be divorced would any of them have just shacked up and lived in sin... 😁
