Kiddies are cute but too well behaved I want one to bolt.
Now is it howling a gale outside hold on to the hats ladies.
And they're off, I love all the grey horses.

The royal apologist (Dickie or Nicky someone) on the news now is dismissing the cost of royal security expenses by saying the taxpayers also have to fot the bill for political protests and football matches and no one says a peep, "but as soon as it's the royal family, oh no, the public says it shouldn't be done." Bless.

Interesting choice of tiara, there--aren't emeralds supposed to be unlucky?
I wonder what will happen when the Queen passes on and Charles becomes King--I'm thinking Andy and his crew will be severely demoted in stature, if not in actual position. I'm imagining a British version of the Smothers Brothers, with Tommy Smothers telling his brother Dick, "Mom always liked you best..."

Assuming Liz knows Charles' feelings towards Andrew et spawn, is there anything she can do in advance to prevent anything too drastic?

I'm fast forwarding imagining Charles first trooping of the colour The Balcony if he gets his way would be Him, Camilla, Will, Kate, kiddies, Harry, Meghan and their possible kid(s). Everyone gets pushed aside from being children/grand chriden of the Monarch to siblings/uncles/aunt/cousins so surplus to reqirement as such. So pretty empty looking I'd say.
Don't think Liz can do much unless give The Yorks big charity patronages or honoury Military positions. I dunno. The Buckingham Palace reno costs can leave out having to strengthen the support for that Balcony its load will be getting lighter.
It would be interesting if Margaret was still alive how prominent or not would her kids be still. They very low key now. I don't think they were ever not low key they aren't HRHs.

I like Eugenie's dress, especially the neckline.

[small voice]I like her gown[/small voice]
Interesting no veil. All the better to show off her “I’m a princess, too!” tiara?

[small voice]I like her gown[/small voice] Interesting no veil. All the better to show off her “I’m a princess, too!” tiara? The talking heads on my telly channel were saying it, no veil /low back on dress was show or not hide her scoliosis scars. Which I guess if right is a nice idea and shows support for others with same condition, she is patron or such related charity or hospital dept. I think.

I like the lines of the gown from the front but I don't like the embellishments or the bustle.

I turned on the tv when I got up, in time for the vows. Some nice music, including hymns I like. I liked the dress, think the tiara was gorgeous (I love emeralds), was surprised by the lack of veil. The kids were adorable.
Frankly, I'd rather watch a wedding first thing in the morning than whatever happened in the news cycle overnight.
