I think there were pictures just recently of Sandra and her daughter coming out of the Kabbalah Center with or behind Madonna and family. And I know Rosie occasionally mentions the friendship on her blog.

Going through some of the YouTube clips - Madonna was at her LEAST annoying on Rosie's show. Letterman seems to bring out the obnoxious brat in her, STILL.

To my memory, Sandra B. was trying to kick start a singing career. She told her then BFF Madonna that her first single would be a hot cover of "Fever". Madonna promptly went out and recorded a hot cover of "Fever" herself before Sandra could even get to the studio. Sandra said some pissy words to the press- but really- what else could she do? She certainly couldn't put out "Fever" right after Madonna did.

Nevertheless, I am grateful to her for preventing Sandra Bernhard from having a potential hit single. Who told that woman she could sing?

I had to laugh at the photo of Madonna "going to her First Communion" in the link Constanza posted. It wasn't her First Communion at all -- it was her father's remarriage. (A friend's aunt and uncle knew the woman Madonna's dad married and were at the wedding -- the friend showed me a whole series of shots from that day.) Makes me wonder just how accurate the book is.

Wow--Madonna was so cute and pretty in that Letterman clip. And smiling and laughing (even if she was playing it up)--nothing like that sourpuss she is now. Sad.
