I'm so glad her brother is getting some sort of revenge and hopefully a windfall of cash. I have heard reports of how poorly she treated her maids. One time, she asked her maid to make a call for for some reason or another. Unfortunately, that call happen to be a long distance call, and Vadge took the charge out of the woman's check. Not cute. Plus, the maid talked about the ridiculous interviewing process and how Madonna was paying way less than the usual salary. The maid figured she could at least say she worked for Madonna. With that said, I can totally believe Christopher. It seems Madonna loves to get top dollar for herself, but she refuses to give a decent wage to those who work the hardest. I don't quite believe that she's that cheap with the hired help, for the mere reason that they wouldn't work for her then... If they think they could be paid more elsewhere, they'd be working elsewhere. I don't like the woman, but that's just sort of common sense...

I heard she pays her dancers crap--but you have to admit, it looks great on the resume. I guess it's a trade-off.

The woman and her husband both worked for Madonna, and they both quit, due to Madonna's cheap ways. In England, service jobs are not looked down upon, and she felt if she worked for a well known person, that would allow her more opportunities in the service industry. Well, that's the reason she gave for accepting the lower pay.
Plus, we need look no further than Liz Hurley, who was working her maid for pennies on the dollar. I guess it helps to work for famous people, but I think the allure wears thin, when the wallets flatten.

I checked the last few pages and didn't see this--it's a BBC link that shows a bit of the GMA interview with her brother. I'm sure money was a huge factor in writing the book, but it does seem like he's genuinely sad about the deterioration of the relationship. Guy Richie sounds like a stellar character.

Seems like Gwyneth is the only one that Gwyneth has never had a falling out with. OT: Oh, I'm certain that Gwyneth has never gone through a rough patch with herself! Ever!

Give it time. Am I the only one that has a vague recollection of Gwyneth denying the closeness of their friendship, in some magazine? I remember that too. I think it was at the boards that shall never be spoken about because it was quite awhile ago because Winona Ryder's name was also mentioned at that time, and Paltrow dissed her too by saying that they weren't really close either even though they seemed like best friends earlier especially with the whole Ben/Gwyneth and Matt/Winona clique. Then, I recall some posters criticized Paltrow because there was a rumor that while she was living with Winona Ryder, she saw the script to Shakespeare in Love, and stole the part from Ryder. I don't believe that rumor though since even then Ryder's career was on the way down, and Paltrow was the "it" girl of Miramax studio, so there would have been no reason for her to do that. I do believe that she uses people just like Madonna though, and just when they're no longer of use or when they get too much attention than her, she either drops them or makes snide comments about them.

Jesus! I thought the two little pictures in that link were the only ones to look at and then I scrolled down and saw the bigger pic! Lawd her face is scary! Maybe if she starts eating actual food and stops over-exercising, maybe her face can fill back out and not look so sharp.

I don't know if cheek implants can be taken out, and if so what the results would be, but that's what's making her face look like that. She's got a serious case of Madamism.

Her transformation to Faye Dunaway is complete.
