Yes! And I did admire the way she nimbly vaulted over the fallen tree trunks when running from the Velocirapters! I would have immediately broken my ankle and been instant 'Raptor chow! (And as we all know, they eat you from the inside out...)

I thought she was very pretty in October Sky. I, also, loved Citizen Ruth, she owned that role. I need to see her turn as Katherine Harris.

Ditto. I loved that movie as a tween. So much so that I sent her a fan letter and got a 4X6 autographed picture in return. My twelve year old self was over the moon since I hadn't expected anything back.

She was very lovely in Mask. She just hasn't aged well. I think she kind of got the worst features of both parents.

There's a fantastic trashy movie called The Baby Dance. I watch it every time it comes on, and she really is good in it.

She's starring in HBO's new series, Enlightened, which premieres Monday, October 10th. It's created by Mike White, who wrote Chuck and Buck, The Good Girl and School of Rock, among others.

LAURA DERN'S DIVORCE FINAL

The fat lady has sung in Laura Dern's divorce ... after a failed attempt at reconciliation, the actress' divorce from singer Ben Harper has been finalized.

TMZ broke the story ... Harper blindsided Dern with divorce papers back in 2010 after 5 years of marriage and two children ... but in 2012, before it was finalized, the two tried to get back together.

The reconciliation was a colossal failure ... and months later, Dern decided she wanted out for good, filing her response to Harper’s divorce petition, demanding primary physical custody of their kids.

Now, a year later, it's all over ... a judge has signed the divorce petition, meaning Laura and Ben are officially single.

The terms of the settlement are confidential. Sources connected with the couple tell TMZ ... the couple will have joint custody, although Laura will have the kids more than Ben. We're also told she will get "minimal" child support. We're told neither party will get spousal support.

I was always so surprised those two had seriously gotten together. She kinda see seems like a drag, like she skulks around parties loudly bitching about people she doesn't like (based on no more proof than her perma bitchface). And he seems...like he would cheat with every Urban Outfitted 22 year old Bonnaroo festival attendee that lingers by him long enough.
