The feathers is what it's all about for the MET ball, but the rest of the dress is just too beige or blending into her overall beige/skin tone. I think this would have had a lot more of a WOW! factor if it was a more contrasted color that really popped.

Gold is usually the showstopper color, and that blue is usually a showstopper color, and together they just seem to be too much POW- they compete. But I think you're right -the gold being so close to her skin tone doesn't help, either.

To me, this and Zendaya's were the absolute two best dresses at the 2018 Met Gala. Absolutely GLORIOUS.

I agree. Both were Versace. Donatello also did Chadwick Boseman, Kim K and a few others.
Blake really nailed it from headpiece to fingernails to everything. She said she styled herself too (doesn’t she usually?).
