Very interesting, kostgard. I'm rather heartened by the idea that Mary McCormack cried when reading the original script and tried her best to rewrite it. That kind of sums up what I'm about to articulate badly. I don't know what kind of contracts kept Paul Ben-Victor, Frederick Weller and Mary McCormack legally bound to the show, but I had this hopeful, and probably entirely fictitious, idea that everyone was trying their best to make the show work, despite limited support from the channel, bad production, etc. It's like they all believed it could get back to its roots and make the show good once again, but it failed anyway.

This, more than any other factor, was probably what killed this show dead. Man, networks can suck. Badly.
TC: I've been watching the classic eps from season one and two, just to reminisce. So good. Le sigh.
