She's always dressed weird so I can't fault her for showing up in exactly what I'd of expected of her. Besides, she wasn't even the worst dressed there. I would give that "honor" to [blue]Jessie Cave[/blue] (she plays Lavender).

This is such a scrolldown fug to me. When I opened the closeup, I thought, oh, not bad for Helena. Then... I scrolled down. Between the tights and the wee sandcastle lunchbox... wha? It's a castle...I think it's pretty. Perhaps a Lulu Guinness design (though it's not quite as sparkly as hers usually are), and if there's ever been an occasion for a clutch like that it's got to be the harry Potter premiere. I think she looks lovely. What can I say?

I think she looks gorgeous. If I saw Kate Hudson or Cameron Diaz in the same attire I would be laughing too hard to even be able to post something snarky. But somehow, it really suits Helena.
And she doesn't look much older than she did in "Room With a View."
I think she is fabulous [/girlcrush]

I like that outfit, too. The spotted tights are not something I would think to pair with that outfit, but the dots are so small, they don't don't detract.
I don't love the sandcastle purse--it looks like something from the children's/toy department at Ross Dress for Less--but yeah, it does suit a Harry Potter event.
Poor Jessie Cave. (Crooked) T-straps over socks over shiny purple leggings. T-straps over socks over shiny purple leggings. The hell?!

Alright, so I hate her clothes and think she's an awful dresser. But she just totally owns it so I have to love her for that. She doesn't strike me as being a poseur, like she actually loves dressing up like that all the time. It's not my style but bless her for rocking it so hard.

Yeah, she dresses weird and her has the "combed with and egg beater" look, but she looks genuinely happy.

I didn't even think of this (I love her clothes myself) but you're so right--what's pathetic and imho worthy of the Fashion Police smackdown are the sad-looking stars who have clearly let themselves be dressed and look ridiculous and are so terribly awkward, having no bloody idea what/why/how they are wearing what they have on. That'll never be the case for Helena, clearly.

I'd love to do lunch with HBC and Tilda Swinton. It would be a hoot.
