Actress Helena Bonham Carter, 41, was spotted running errands with her newborn daughter -- whose name has not been released -- on Thursday in London. She and director Tim Burton welcomed their baby girl 3 ½ weeks ago.

Rumor is that the baby's name is Indiana Rose

Sarah's note: Her rep told me she thought that was untrue. It started in a Moldovian paper. I guess eventually it will come out!

Do you think she didn't brush her teeth and it's residue from food and drink, or is that plaque? It seems like many celebrities who are otherwise so image conscious have ugly teeth and I always wonder why, since they can easily afford good dental care. Is it a phobia of dentists?

That is plaque and tartar, easily taken care of in a few pain--free minutes with a dental hygienist. HBC is going to have a hellacious case of gingivitis soon. Her gums will recede into the top of her skull.

The teeth are disgusting. Why don't stars take better care of their teeth? Many of them spend a fortune on cosmetic dentistry.

[OT]I have spent $10,000+ on veneers (four upper front teeth), Invisalign, and whitening, and I baby my teeth. (I hated my teeth before all the work.) I sleep in a mouthguard to protect the veneers and floss and brush (with a Sonicare) at least twice a day. I have my teeth cleaned twice a year.[/OT]

If a normal plebe like me goes to so much trouble why don't image conscious celebrities do so too? Is it part of their "edgy artiste who's above pedestrian activities like bathing and brushing teeth" repertoire?

I don't get the "gorgeous" thing. I think she looks like a witch.

And I second (or third) the sense of bewilderment about celebs who shun basic hygiene. I recall several times reading that Brad Pitt, for instance, basically stinks because he doesn't like to bathe. Maybe that's changed since he's with AJ. HBC clearly can't be bothered brushing her teeth. I wonder if she bothers to bathe her kids or tend to their teeth, or if she keeps them in filth.
