FOX is playing previews for this all the time now, and I am curious. They're calling it "X-Files for a new generation".

Well, call me cynical, but let's see at least a little bit of it before we go there, shall we? This could be as good as Terminator - Sarah Connor Chronicles or as bloody awful as the latest Bionic Woman.

Anyway! Premieres September 9th. Here is the trailer.

I've heard fairly good buzz so far from the television critics reviews - of course usually when they like something it underperforms ratings wise and gets canned.

Anyway my hopes are up for this one.

The pilot leaked a few months ago, although I think they were planning on tweaking it a bit. I really enjoyed it, but it is pretty similar to the X-Files with a focus on conspiracy theories. I don't think I've seen the main girl in anything else, but she was good. Josh Jackson was ok, but I've never been a big fan.

They seriously NEED to tweak it. Like, get rid of Brilliant-but-Socially-Inept-Dad and all of the other stereotypes which permeate the pilot. How many people in this world ever work with members of their families, other than in family-run businesses, except on television? JJ Abrams needs to work out his family issues on a psychiatrist's couch, not in television serieseses.

That was an interesting although extremely long trailer. Very X-Files...maybe too much so? And I agree, bstewart. there's some characters they'll probably trim... but it seems like Brilliant Dad is key to the plot. I also like how Josh Jackson's character is shaping up. I'll watch this for sure. I'm all about the weird scientific stuff.

I'm totally in. I love Josh Jackson, so that alone is reason enough for me. But I actually do like the X-File/Alias feel to it.

The only thing I don't like in the previews I've seen is when the lead (Poor Man's Cate Blanchett?) says something like "Call me sweetheart again... I'd really like that."

I've seen the pilot and I quite enjoyed it. Add to the fact that Joshua Jackson is my original TV boyfriend and looks absolutely smoking and it's a recipe for regular viewing for me.

Ditto. I think this will be a great role for him and FOX seems to be doing just the right thing with the marketing so far.

I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!

Premieres tonight. I saw the leaked pilot and thought it showed promise. I'll be watching.
