Did you all know that the Lion and the Cobra had different more demure photo on cover for US audiences than the rest of us had. Watching Nothing Compares doc told me this and that the Prince estate didn’t allow / give permission to the doc to use Sinéad’s version of Nothing Compares 2 U…. Anyway if we are at the posting tunes phase of processing things… I put this on a long list over on what you listening to in the music corner. It’s been a very persistent ear worm. It’s not known beyond Ireland and it’s not Sinéad’s song but it’s such a sweet little tune. It was Irelands winning entry in the Eurovision way back in 1970 by a wee Derry Girl called Dana (real name Rosemary Scallon) Sinéad covered it with Terry Hall ( The Specials, Fun Boy Three) years ago as a bit of fun I think. All Kinds of Everything (remind me of you)Edit From the Eurovision the original version if interested link

That was actually the first song of hers I ever heard! Love it still.

When I worked at Trader Joe's, her version of "I'll Tell Me Ma" (or "The Belle of Belfast City") played almost every Saint Patrick's Day. I'll be sure to play it next March 17.

She died of natural causes, according to a coroner's report. Can we take this to mean that she did not die by her own hand? At her age and considering the stress and grief of losing her son, it sounds like there was an underlying medical condition that caused her death. Broken heart syndrome Requiescat in pace, Sinead

Broken heart syndrome Requiescat in pace, Sinead I must admit I am somewhat surprised. I suppose there are a myriad of things that could have happened, but it's not what I was expecting. I truly hope she has peace.

And seeing her look so happy and cute in the video. They both died too young. I was surprised by the cause of death as well. I thought someone had confirmed it as suicide.

Sinead has three surviving children, so hopefully the news is comforting to them.
