Awww...that Academy Award win was so cute! Such a nice, surprise win too. I like her and I do think she is still unique looking. But yeah, go back to dark hair.

ITA about the blonde hair, it's a bit harsh on her.

I go back and forth on her. I do think she did some great work when she was younger, especially in The Piano and Fly Away Home, but her acting lately in the projects I've seen is pretty bad. And the blonde hair is terrible, but she's got a quirky beauty about her that I like. I haven't really seen her personality--I can't recall an interview with her--but she seems generally cool, and I know she went to a good school, so probably she'd be smart and fun to talk to. I dunno. Jury's still out.

The only time I've seen her act was in She's All That and on stage in London when she did "This is our youth" with Gyllenhaal and Christensen and she was quite good then though she didn't have an amazing stage presence (unlike Jake who was absolutely fantastic back then in early 2002).

Okay, that's weird seeing that now after watching True Blood week in and week out.

Was Anna, blonde before True Blood went into production? I was under the impression that she only went blonde to play the "Sookie" character.

Up until know, she's always been a brunette as far as I've seen.

I think she's a good actress. Of all the female child actors in her group (i.e Portman, Johannson, etc.) I think she lived up to her hype. Or at least she didn't go down in ability.

The romance between Moyer, 37, and Paquin, 26, first sparked at the True Blood audition, but the couple decided to wait to go public.

“The reason it was dodged last year was very intentional on both our parts,” Moyer tells TV Guide Magazine. “It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn’t feel it was fickle, and didn’t feel it could possibly potentially encroach on their lives, you know, just like, ‘Oh the two stars are having a thing.’ We didn’t want to take anything away from the show. The show is the star, not the two people having a relationship… It’s just exciting and that was there from day one. We always take the piss out of each other and are silly with each other and it is great. We’re very, very happy. She’s the best.”

Anna Paquin has a totally smoking body and I'm jealous. The first ep of True Blood was the first time I've taken notice of her in at least 10 years, really, and when she was running around in short shorts, a little tee, trainers and her long swinging ponytail, she looked so great.

Stephen Moyer's performance as the vampire-hunk-by-the-numbers annoys me no end on the show ("Suck-eeeeeh!") but in the interviews I've seen him promote the show, he is a lot funnier and likable and relaxed with his London accent. He may have been more palatable as the slightly goofier were-dog character.
