She does seem addicted to fame, which is ridiculous. Get a therapist, Vicky. You can live a wonderful life outside of the public eye.

Oh, she/they are TOTALLY in bed with the tabs. Checking out the subtext in The Sun isn't difficult. The latest subtext is: poor Vicky, David's a pig.
I think that if she really is as talented at press/image manipulation as she gets credit for, she should leave him and spin it into a big Nicole Kidman-esque rebirth process. I totally think she could do that - I don't know about establishing an actual career, but just in terms of publicity and public sympathy. I think DB is a pig, and has behaved like one, and she could make that very clear.
I also get the impression she's a lot smarter than David. I'm sure she's able to manipulate him/plant ideas in his head re: Brand Beckham and how important it is that they stay married etc.

Maybe she was the poshest (or is it poshiest?) of all the Spice Girls. I thought I read somewhere that she was considered the "rich" one because her parents were upper middle class?

Anybody remember seeing her and Baby SPice on David Letterman about the time their movie came out?
She was so rude and bitchy to him that he snarked on her the rest of the night (after they were gone) and for days afterwards.

I totally agree with that. She was much more famous than him. She put HIM on the map.
But the media dislike her a lot more than they dislike him. Of course it wasn't her fault.
I'm convinced she's the smart one in that relationship. She created that perfect husband/perfect father/universal sex symbol image that he's got going on. It looks like she's happy to play that up as much as she can but it is starting to look like David wants out of that whole fish-bowl lifestyle. I think he's acting out with all these infidelities so that she'll eventually have enough and leave. I guess he doesn't want to be the one to walk out on the marriage and three young kids.

I've heard journalist types say that she treats everyone like servants and looks down on them. That's why they hate her and give her a hard time. She's a bitch and her parents are controlling and horrid to the little people too.
Her parents used to regularly ring a London talk radio station to tell the presenters not to refer to Posh as Posh ... They try to make everyone call her "Victoria". As one of the presenters pointed out, Posh tried - through the courts - to stop a small football club from using the name POSH even though the club had the name years before she came on the scene.
I intensly dislike her famewhorish, controlling, disingenuous attitude.
She's one of those people that have always seemed to display an overwhelming sense of entitlement.

She did the same thing to Jon Stewart. She told him she didn't think he was funny and that British people appreciate "wit and sarcasm" for humor. He responded, "If you haven't seen the sarcasm during this interview then you're just not paying attention." Apparently it's one of the few interviews he's done that left a bad taste in his mouth.

The Jon Stewart interview was alternately infuriating and funny because she was being such a cow but apparently unaware of how she was coming off -- she seemed to think that she looked like the wronged party. Emma Bunton's stock went up with me, though -- she was much more intelligent than I'd given her credit for (not saying much, admittedly) and seemed light-years more good-natured than Vicky.
