I know. I need more Kenny Powers!
ETA: Just watched the finale. That ending was a killer, even though I knew it was coming.

Yeah, this finale really played with my emotions, what a bummer. Gosh, I hope this comes back for more. I LOVED the intro, talk about a nice pair of big boobs!

Loved the ending. Of course Kenny has to have doubts and change course. I wonder if April would have still gone to Tampa if she knew the truth? I would like to think so but you gotta wonder about a woman who falls for Kenny.
On Kenny's twitter page he says it's not the last we've seen of him so I'm hoping for a new season. They can't leave me hanging.
I loved his farewell speech in front of the school with the delivery truck blocking him. I also love how nobody ever says anything about the overuse of swearing in front of the kids. No covering of the ears or "whatch your language" comments.

Ugh! What a gut wrenching finale. The pained expression as he listened to the recruiter's confession, the way the sound faded in and out. I really felt for him. Then I wondered why should I feel bad for such a dick. He really is an insufferable prick who deserves all the bad shit that happens to him, because he brought it on himself. But I can't help but root for him and feel for him. He is the anti-hero and I lurve him.

Completely. I agree, the scene where he's listening to the recruiter is wrenching. The slo-mo of Stevie setting off fire alarms kills me.

This show. Is trying to kill me. My stomach dropped when he got the call from the Assistant to the Assistant manager-"Uh turns out I shouldn't have offered you the job, I have no authority, I've been on drugs, it's weird I kinda like guys now..." that was great. I do wonder how Kenny will return and how he will be accepted. Great show. . Oh and Stevie? When he looked devastated because he wasnt going to Tampa was so sad and funny. How is that possible? This show brings out exotic emotions!

That's right you beautiful bitches, he's back!!! As rude and quotable as ever. I'm still giggling over his exchange with the manager of the Churros, Aaron's betrayal at Big Red's funeral, the hair after he takes it out of cornrows, his hair in cornrows, the line..."even though you're Mexican you seem normal".

I had to give up my EB&D premiere last night. HBO-E had it playing while football was on (the bf was not going to give that up and HBO-W had it on during Mad Men (which is a must see in my house). Thank goodness for On Demand. It better be on there when I get home or else I will be pissed.

Kenny Powers is back, thank God.
I love the little pitch-perfect details of the show, like how, instead of using the word "depressed" to describe his mental state, he says he's "super-sad." It's so well-done. I loved how he was being tender with his chicken "Big Red" when he was training in and after it died, (it really humanizes him) and the incredibly old tape recorder he was using to write his next "book." His hair after the cornrows was great.

Loved the new first episode. Can't wait for more. He's such an asshole on paper yet you can't help but root for the guy. Then there are the classic Kenny moments like when he's "super-sad" looking at April's picture in the yearbook, he reaches for the tissue and just when you think he's going to wipe away a tear instead he...uh...yeah.
