So glad its back. Watching this makes me want to curse like a mofo afterward. I'm sad that most of the original cast is gone but Mexico seems promising. Jody Hill has described season two as a cross between Amores perros and The Bad News Bears which sounds awesome. He's such an asshole on paper yet you can't help but root for the guy. He is a complete asshole and really really stupid but not malicious. He is so sincere I can't help but like him. Like when he turns down his neighbor's dinner invite: "Your wife's titty does look beautiful though" I hope that Deep Roy is on more episodes even though he doesn't want to be Kenny's sidekick anymore. |

I just finished a marathon of this and yep, HBO continues to deliver. I've read that McBride plans to do this the British way, only three short seasons at most. I can't even think of my favorite line, although the "calm and weak" from last season stuck with me. And one of my fave scenes is Kenny's last speech to the gym kids, "Remember when I taught y'all to make it rain? Dollar bills, yo." It just cracked me up, along with Thunderdome. The kids all seem completely disengaged, which is somehow even funnier.

Eastbound and Down is back! The new season has not disappointed! Its as rude and quotable as ever. my favorite line..."Cassie, what are the ladies at the tampon shop saying.." I die!

What the fuck was going on with the last half of the lastest episode? Totally weird and disturbing, and not in a good way. I love dark, I love sick, but it has to make sense in the context of the show and this did not. I usually like Will Ferrel but I hate his character on this show. Let him go away, please.
The first half was funny. Good stuff. I would just like to erase that last half from my memory.

Yeah I thought the first episode of this season was hilarious. And the first half of the latest episode was pretty good and then Will Ferrell showed up and ruined everything. I didn't like him when he was on first season as well but this time was much worse. I like dark and twisted too but that whole party was just stupid.

I concur. The end of the episode just got too weird and seemed like an exercise in how-crazy-can-Will-Ferrell-be? Although I did like his son, Gabriel.

Kenny giving the college girl an asthma attack was awful/funny. I want to sit him down and explain life to him so badly. Great reveal of mama at the end.

Great casting for Kenny's mom. I really liked the last episode too. I did not care for the funeral episode. I did not need to see one Stevie sex scene, let alone two.
