Although cheating is a bad thing and I don't ever condone it, when the object of affection is Eddie Cibrian. Well, it is understandable. I haven't really followed him in years, but he was certainly all kinds of hot when he was on Young and Restless and that fireman show after. It would be hard not to fall in love with a guy with those beautiful eyes and dimples. I would be weak.

Maybe she finally figured out that her husband is gay. Thank goodness it's not just me. It's not just you either. He has always pinged my gaydar for some reason also. I could be wrong but time will tell. |

I thought her marriage to the current guy was some kind of arrangement. Not that I have anything to go by on that one; I just didn't understand how she couldn't realize he was at the very least extremely effeminate even by metrosexual standards.
Anyway...I didn't know Eddie Cibrian was also married.

She doesn't seem very convincing in this interview that it's all well and good. Hopefully she's a better actress in the movie. youtubeBtw- I was going to use the youtube linking thing in the reply window but are we allowed to do that? |

Yes, that's what I figured, or she just wanted a friendly companion after she walked in on Piper Perabo and Andrew Keegan in a hot tub together and not any another relationship. I don't really know if the hot tub incident really did happen, but it seems believable because Keegan seems like such a sleezebag, and I've never liked Perabo that much because she was another one of those like Gretchen Mol and now Maline Ackerman that were pushed as the next big thing and were cast in tons of movies for some reason. She wasn't too bad in The Prestige, but I guess compared to Scarlett Johannson in the movie, the other two female love interests seemed brilliant. Although I think it's bizarre to stir up publicity this way at least for Rimes since she always seemed nice compared to celebrities who I believe would create buzz this way, I hope that's just what it is especially if Rimes herself was a wronged woman. |

I seriously totally believe it's promotion, until I see differently. (I was wrong about Reese & Jake; I don't think a beard can hold on that long, esp if you're Reese Witherspoon.) Anyway, back on topic, TV promotion has lost all credibility with me when last season's Gene Simmons Family Jewels premiered March 11 2008 and his sex tape was "leaked" on Feb 20th. The ONLY reason I knew the new season of Family Jewels was starting last March was because the regular blogs I read picked up the god damned sex tape. How f-ing obvious is that? How f-ing obvious is this? I didn't hear about Anne Heche getting with her male lead, and Tori and Dean's twu wuv, until their shows/movies had already aired. They did it wrong!

I recently saw some pictures of LeAnn and her husband at the Brentwood Farmer's Market. She was wearing tiny little running shorts, and he was putting on (or taking off) a tank-top. It did seem like they were trying to attract attention, and I wondered if LeAnn had something to promote. So I definitely wouldn't be surprised if the rumored "cheating" is part of a publicity stunt.

For the cynically-minded, Gawker points out that Rimes and Us Weekly share the same PR firm.
It does seem odd that an affair between a B-list country star and C-list TV actor - on the set of a fricking made-for-TV movie - would merit a massive cover story. Right before the film airs.
