Anyone else watching? I'm really enjoying it. Lots of interesting characters, storylines that tug at the heart strings (that baby last night was ADORABLE!) and Ben McKenzie (yum)!

I didn't watch the show but the baby in the promo (the promo that i've probably seen over 100 times) just kills me, all sittin' in the street, and furrow-browed and cute. What was the story there?

Have only seen the pilot so far and really liked it. Not a fan of cop shows at all and only watched it because of Ben but I'll definitely try and see more episodes.

I was shocked by how much I liked this (and I haven't liked a cop show in years). I could see it becoming a pretty big hit.

I watched it for the first time last night and enjoyed it. I like that it is an ensemble, much like ER, and we don't spend too much time tied up in the stories of just one or two characters.
The baby was a adorable. His story was his single mother was in a bind for childcare while she worked and trusted the baby to her meth-head ex. Long story short, the meth-head abandoned the baby and the mother had to struggle to regain custody of the little guy.

I watched the pilot's reairing on USA and thought it was okay - I'm not really a fan of cop shows at all but it had good buzz and an article in AfterElton made it seem interesting. They thought it was really cool that the gruff older mentor cop stereotype just happened to be gay - I thought I was neat as well.
I guess I will DVR Saturday's reairing on NBC since it was apparently good.
As I said to my friend on Facebook, why did no one inform me that Regina King is in this? I would have been much more eager to tune in if NBC's endless promos featured her more. She is one of my favorite actresses to see when she pops up in stuff.

I don't "do" cop shows, either. I only saw the first one and I loved it, though. (Also, they let "asshole" slip through the censors in the pilot. :-o)

Oddly enough, "asshole rodeo" was okay but they censored "asshole" when it was used on its own a 2nd time.

And the "asshole" part wasn't in the closed captioning, either! They censored the CC but not the actual show. That amused me, too.
