Good grief! That's one unfortunate looking dress. Is it supposed to look like that?

I've come around on her outfit. She looks kooky in a delightful way. I like it when women step out of the traditional box in a fun and interesting way, even if the end result isn't conventionally attractive.

I've come around on her outfit. She looks kooky in a delightful way. I like it when women step out of the traditional box in a fun and interesting way, even if the end result isn't conventionally attractive. For me there were a lot of boring dresses last night, so at least Wiig's gown wasn't boring. I think that Natalie Portman was best dressed, although I liked the dresses of Sigourney Weaver, Kaitlyn Dever, Scarlett Johannson, and Janelle Monae too. Other than that, it seemed like there was just a lot of black and white gowns although there was a lot of interesting silhouettes that I wasn't quite a fan of except for maybe just on Charlize Theron. Margot Robbie looked bad again, imo, not as bad as she's looked at other awards this season, but she really needs to fire her stylist. She wasn't even memorably bad just boring bad. I was hoping Florence Pugh would wow, but I didn't like her dress at all. I didn't like Saoirse Ronan's dress that much either, but at least I feel like she did push herself. Finally I know Rooney Mara is all about the goth girl style, but her dress didn't work for me. I think it could have on someone else, but sometimes it just feels like a parody with her.

It reminded me of a bottle brush.

From how she was standing you can see she wasn't quite comfortable in it. Confidence goes a long way...though not long enough for that ugly ass dress.

I think if a few things were changed it could have worked better. Lose the gloves, and lose the sheer black panels on the sides that gave her quite a bit of side-boob. If she had lost those it would have been quirky and original but not as confusing.

What gets me is most of these women are skinny. They're not stuck with polyester tents - they could wear alll the most beautiful dresses. Instead they go out in something that's a mix between a clown outfit and a ballgown.
