I'm kinda cringing at a teacher singing "I've got passion in my pants and I ain't afraid to show it" to a roomful of his students but, more importantly, for Xenu's Sake, TONE DOWN THE AUTOTUNE.
When a cast of actual singers sounds as robotic as LMFAO themselves, it's a problem.

I think it comes off as fun because Ricky knows how to bring the fun. Morrison does not.
I thought the performance was way awkward with the context of the song, and yes the autotune was annoying!

It's so nice to see Ricky Martin again! I will be watching that episode for certain.

Do public school teachers really get tenure? I've never heard of such a thing. It's hard to get rid of them because they are often on a rolling 3-5 year contract (so if you tell them that you're not renewing their contract, they are still around for three more years), but tenure?
Also? Teachers generally have to have an endorsement in their subject areas, and they have to take tests to prove they've got some level of competency in the subject. Yet Will can teach Spanish when he barely speaks it.
Yeah, I know. It's Glee. But it's still annoying.
I'm glad more people are pointing out what a terrible person Will is. But then they go and ruin it by Sue wanting his stupid loser cheeseball DNA for her child and I was disappointed when Emma didn't dump him at the end of the episode for sucking so much.

This episode didn't bug me as much as usual simply because it repeatedly pointed out what a dork and a jerk Will is. The shots of the students laughing at his bullfighter routine were gravy.
This show's writers are so wildly inconsistent. In a first season episode, we saw Will speaking effortless Spanish to Sue's cleaning lady but now he can't even handle the difference between "muy" and "mucho"?
As far as his competency and how he got away with being a crap teacher for so long, does Figgins look like a guy who really would care? And I'd guess Will was once just competent enough to get the job but has taught from the book for years and scraped along.
I thought this episode had some of the best pacing they've had in a while, great put downs (the swim coach's rant to Sue was stellar), and, finally, almost no treacly LESSONS ABOUT TOLERANCE. They cut way back on the super serious expressions of teen luv, too. Kirk and Mercedes' reaction to the engagement ring was pitch perfect. A few eps ago, I thought we'd see a stupid "Going to the Chapel"/"Band of Gold" mash up with Finn and Rachel dancing under a shower of rose petals while the other gleesters popped and locked behind them. The "are you out of your damned mind?!" response was refreshing.
And they better bring back Ricky Martin. I'd be happy if they just wrote Will out of the whole thing and let Mr. Tooth Model take over.

Yes, I am glad that everyone (other than Rachel and Finn) sees how stupid this engagement is. That at least is refreshing.
Figgins should care about Will's inability to speak Spanish, at least if Will doesn't have proper licensure. The school district would have to pay hefty fines (but again, this is Glee world).

I know Glee means never having to say you're kidding, but, seriously, Sue wants a baby!? And she wants to use the DNA of someone's whose appearance she mocks at every opportunity?

There was a time I thought the soaring harmonies of The B-52s would be a perfect fit for "Glee" but I found myself last fall writing Fred, Kate and Cindy on Facebook begging them to never let that happen, ever. You might not want to watch tomorrow's ep then!
