So glad I caught this tonight. Freaking Love! I'd seen the promos and the internet buzz, but didn't think much of it. But, I'm hoping that this is a show that will stick. It makes me feel all ... gleeful and shit.

That was awesome! I don't think I've ever seen a show that's so joyful. A definite must-watch for me this season. I'm assuming Fox has the music rights covered for the eventual DVDs as it's such an intrinsic part of the show. The full track listing for “Glee: The Music, Volume 1” (November 3rd) is as follows: 1. “Don’t Stop Believin’” 2. “Can’t Fight This Feeling” 3. “Gold Digger” 4. “Take a Bow” 5. “Bust Your Windows” 6. “Taking Chances” 7. “Alone” 8. “Maybe This Time” 9. “Somebody to Love” 10. “Hate On Me” 11. “No Air” 12. “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” 13. “Keep Holding On” 14. “Bust a Move” 15. “Sweet Caroline” 16. “Dancing with Myself” 17. “Defying Gravity” Oh yes. I will definitely be buying this.

Was not expecting to love it, but I did... It totally sucked me in.. and reminded me so much of Election. I can only hope Fox shows me more respect with this show then they did for Arrested Development a couple of years ago. Wednesdays at 9pm. I'm there!

My theater friends have been talking this up since they saw the pilot when it originally aired. I didn't know it was on last night and happened across it by chance - so glad I did as I friggin loved it!

So, can the dude on the show sing well? I haven't really thought so, but I am not a singer and don't know how to judge these things... No, he's not great. Although I guess that's kind of realistic; not likely that everyone in a high school glee club would have a Broadway-caliber voice. OTOH, it is a TV show, and I would prefer the male lead to be better. Lea Michele's voice is fantastic; his voice really pales in comparison, especially on DSB. In fact, his voice is the weakest of all the kids.

The teacher dude has an amazing voice. I just saw him on YouTube doing Kanye West's "Gold Digger".

Man, Fox is marketing the shit out of this show. A lot of the main characters have Twitter accounts of their own. A lot of it is pretty predictable and boring, but there seems to be some funny stuff here and there. From Quinn's Twitter (the evil cheerleader): And of course, Cheerio Coach Sue: They should let Jane Lynch write Sue's tweets.

I'm not convinced she doesn't. "I bled for that ungrateful little archipelago" totally seems like a Jane Lynch adlib to me. (That's becoming standard practice - Melrose Place 2 and True Blood have character tweets. Which means we're totally gonna have another writer's strike in a few years over how writers should be properly compensated for character tweets). I took a pass on the director's cut and the tweepeat. The pilot was good but not "I need to see this three times" good. Plus, Ryan Murphy has no problem starting strong - Nip/Tuck had an AMAZING pilot and first season. It's the "where does it go" that he has trouble with. Does Fox even have any other new dramas premiering this fall? I don't know because all of their money has gone to Glee. I'm just glad that we're FINALLY getting a glimpse at a second episode. Premiering the pilot so early and then having a summer-long wait for the next episode just seemed cruel. The Tweepeat (god, that sounds dumb) of the 2nd episode will be Friday at 9. Theatre kids totally deserve a teen show of our own, so thank god for this. Oh god, I just saw this Tweet for The Cheer Coach: Oh SNAP! Well-played, random Fox writing intern.
