I find all of the various Pinto manips both freaky and preternaturally attractive.

I finally saw Star Trek last week. Thoroughly enjoyed it. He was perfectly cast and did a great job. Look forward to seeing whatever he's in next.

Tried to watch Bottle Shock. Even Alan Rickman couldn't keep me from turning it off a third of the way into the film. Chris Pine's wig was horrible and he looked absolutely comical. Disappointed cuz I wanted to like this film!

The BF and I watched Bottle Shock last month, MrsCatHead and had basically the same feelings. I hated Chris Pine's hair. It was a pretty boring movie and it didn't pass the Bechdel Test at all - total disappointment. The fact that hair almost killed my Chris Pine crush just made it worse.

File under: This should have been posted about two months ago.... Saw Chris is Farragut North back in June and July (I volunteer at The Geffen). He was incredible. Magnetic even. It was hard to take your eyes off him, and not because of his looks. He completely has what it takes to make it to the top of his profession if he wants to. As for his performance in the play, for two hours, he never left the stage. The supporting cast (including Chris Noth and Oliva Thirlby were great too). The play was loosely based on the Dean Campaign in 2004. Chris played the Communications Director, and the play takes place over a couple of days in the week leading up to the Iowa Caucus. His character was somewhat based on Jon Carson, who went onto serve as Hillary's Com. Director last year. The character is incredibly unsympathic, and it's to Chris's credit that you cared about where his character was going. Having said that, all my friends truly cared about was Chris's strip down to his briefs midway though the first act. However, his entire performance was noteworthy. I think you all would have loved it.....

Haven't seen the movie but I have seen screencaps and yes the wig is awful. I think the movie is supposed to take place in the 70's so that would explain the long hair but was that wig really the best they could do?
Martini Girl thanks for your play review! I read other accounts that also said he was great in the play. Some even met and reported that he was really charming and an absolute sweetheart.
