Still annoyed about this. Traumatized the first time around, I'll pass on the new horror.

The original, for anyone who's interested, is available in segments on YouTube.

So in Alex's GQ Cover Story, it's revealed that he (a) invited his dad to watch the rough-cut of his rape scene and (b) Stellan proclaimed it "the best rape ever filmed." WHAT? Dude, the original is *still* infamous and controversial for the implication that the victim is enjoying the rape. That's allegedly going to be different in this version but if your referring to a remake of *that* rape, why would you proclaim it "the best rape ever filmed?" Why would claim that of any rape on-screen? I know he's just trying to be proud of his son or whatever, but Stellan.

Gross. And if by best rape ever filmed they mean the most harrowing and brutal, I doubt they will top Irreversible. And no-one should try to.

I take it as a poor choice of words. I've seen some horrific things on film but would never classify them so specifically: "That's the greatest holocaust movie EVER," or "That lynching was spectacular." Even if dad truly thought it was the best, his son didn't need to express it as such. I think actors forget that their words end up among the masses of non-actors who don't speak or particularly like their lingo.

Yea, reading that I can't really be offended by it. It's obviously not the best choice of words, but I'm guessing that Stellan meant that the scene was convincing and horrifying enough to involve great acting. And obviously Stellan isn't going to be the most unbiased reviewer, considering he was talking to his own son. I am finding it hard to believe that Bosworth would be involved in any kind of best acting scene... but who knows, maybe she actually pulls it off (I'd be surprised, but stranger things have happened).

Finally saw the trailer today. It actually looked spooky & interesting but knowing what's to come, I don't think I can sit through that again...
