Dr. Drew IS a moron. I have absolutely no respect for him at all as a physician after the mollycoddling he did last night with the those girls. There is NO WAY Maci and Ryan should consider getting back together. Just teach them to move on in a healthy way and find relationships that work for them. And he should have flat out told Farrah to grow up and get some self awareness and reminded her that she's just not that special.
Amber is another waste. She beat on Gary because her father is dying of cirhosis of the liver? Sorry, but that does not give him a pass for acting like a jackhole. I still don't believe she had any remorse for what she did—she got snagged laughing it up at that clip despite her later lame excuse for doing so. And there's no way she's ever getting her GED. If she spent half the time getting it rather than talking about getting it, she's have done so already.

How do you sit around "thinking" you're pregnant, Amber? What an idiot. Dollar Stores have pregnancy tests.
I usually think Dr. Drew is the man, but in the past 2 months I saw him excuse Tiger Woods as having an addiction and not being a slimey, dishonest pig, and then the way he didn't ride Ryan at ALL for his shitty fathering and horrid treatment of Maci, he's very close to becoming dead to me.
I love how Ryan thinks Maci is a big old bitch because she asks him to pay attention to his son or buy a cake mix for the kids' birthday.

Seriously. I've been listening to him for, like, fifteen years, and this last year he's done more to piss me off than even when Loveline was on MTV, for Gawd's sake!

I haven't watched the show yet - Dr. Fake is actually encouraging Maci to stay with Ryan??? Someone needs to shake that poor girl and tell her that better men/father for her child WILL come along someday. Ryan will always be the bio dad, but he's useless. Until then she needs to concentrate on getting herself together and quit worrying about that dummy.
Dr. Drew has been teetering on the famewhore edge for a long time now. But what he's done on Celebrity Rehab should have his f'ing license revoked. He actually stuck former domestic violence partners Heidi Fleiss and Tom Sizemore in rehab .. together. With neither one knowing about the other being there.
That and the fact that he LOVES Kate Gosselin if baffling. He sympathizes with the fact that they both have multiples (big deal, people who have multiples can be whacked too), and will NOT call her out for sticking her kids in front of the camera long after they all seemed miserable and the family was in turmoil.
Back to topic! Was this special shot before Farrah and her mother had their go-round?

I haven't watched the show yet - Dr. Fake is actually encouraging Maci to stay with Ryan??? Yes, he was. He even went so far as to say that he wants to arrange for them to see a counselor, because he thinks there is still something there. This is after Ryan had coldly stated that he wouldn't even speak to Maci if she weren't Bentley's mother. Dr. Drew also said that Maci has to understand that a father's love is different than a mother's, so even though she loves Bentley, Ryan may express his love in a different way. Whatever you say, Dr. Douche. He didn't come down on Ryan at all for the way he has acted. I think the special was filmed before the incident with Farrah and her mom, but I'm not sure. I noticed that Farrah made a funny face when she was saying she's still trying to "deal" with her mom or something like that. She probably would have acted that way anyway, though. If it was filmed after the altercation, then it's possible that they aren't allowed to speak about it or something, I don't know. It wasn't mentioned at all. I read in Us Weekly that Farrah and her mom have been filming since the fight, though. It was just announced that there is going to be a Teen Mom 2 following the same set of girls.

OK, so I finally watched this mess - Dr. Drew is quite the fan of teen love, isn't he? He not only thought Ryan and Maci should stay together, but he was eager for Amber and Gary to make a go of it - AND, for Farrah to find herself some nice guy to be daddy/partner. At 17!
And what was up with that central casting studio audience? They oohed, and aahed in all the right places at teen love. One dopey woman even smiled and turned her head adoringly when selfish, stupid, bloated Amber managed to bleat out that she loved Gary. Who was this special geared towards? Because if it's supposed to be teenagers (instead of us snarky, ahem, older gals) - all he managed to do was try to romanticize staying with your teen boyfriend/mistake forever.
And that bullshit to poor Maci about how men don't KNOW how to help. Grrr So it was OK for Ryan to go out partying with friends all night long - because he's a guy and doesn't know any better! Maci apparently needed to bust into the clubs, Bint Bint in her arms, and drag the guy away.
Someone needs to do an intervention on Drew. His famewhoreyness has made him extremely unprofessional.

I've onyl seen part of the special so far so I don't have a lot of comments yet but I did see the Maci and Ryan segment and you guys are 100% right. Dr. Drew is a massive tool.

It doesn't make sense, because he was always VERY outspoken about the problems with teen relationships and why they weren't "made to last" on Loveline... like, to the point that I thought "damn, that's what girls like me needed to hear!" I'm hoping that there're some editing issues because it just makes NO sense for Drew to be all "Yay! TLA!"
Re: Tom and Heidi: he DID get permission from both; it wasn't a surprise, it's my understanding. He's even admitted that he has famewhore tendencies, too. But... the whole "yay teen marriage and baybees!!" is so totally uncharacteristic. Sheesh.

But then he got permission from two totally f'ed up addicts. That's not good. They don't exactly have good judgment at this point (or ever). I can't imagine that that would fly in ANY sort of rehab .. anything reputable anyway. I could go on and on about the crazy stuff I see on those shows, but wrong thread! I feel bad for little Leah. Amber really is a hosebeast. And Leah is the most unhappy/unruly looking of the children. Is there anything Dr. Drew WON'T poke his nose into at this point? He was practically climaxing on every talk show he could find during the "Tiger is a sex addict" drama.

I read at TWOP that they call his upside smile his "sad panda face." (Maybe that even originated elsewhere.) But I told my husband and it's a non-drinking drinking game for us, we yell that out everytime he pulls it. More like Bingo, who calls it first?
