Hi mods, if you can find the original thread, feel free to knock this one off.
Anyone watching the new season? I thought it was kinda goofy, but it was good to see the gang back together.
ETA: Found Ep 2, never mind.

I don't think TNT shares their shows with any other site (like Hulu, etc), so yeah.
I've just caught a few episodes of this show - it's entertaining enough, but I mostly watch it because it is shot in my town and I like to play "Hey! I know where that is!"

One of the worst series ever aired, IMO. And God, are they over-promoting it.

I love this show. Love it. It's got the best lines. Thankfully for me & my viewing buddies, the show's wiki page has a section for their best lines. Whoo hoo!

One of the worst series ever aired, IMO. And God, are they over-promoting it. Last season was so much better, imo. I haven't been moved by anything I've seen in Season 2. Does anyone remember the video of the cast finding out they got renewed? They were with Dean Devlin (exec producer) and it was really cute, Aldis Hodge called his mom on the spot and everyone was legitimately surprised & excited. That being said, I hope the scripts can work themselves out, because the cast seems like good folks who get along great.

I watched most of season one as a marathon a few weeks in and slightly out of order - which, apparently, doesn't matter since the network aired them out of order anyway. Season Two is about the same so far - uneven but with a good concept and group of actors. It's entertaining but I feel like there's so much *more* they could be doing. Hopefully having the network's full support and the ability to actually air episodes in order will lead to a stronger season.
I think anytime the show gets serious, it just fails big-time. It's a combo of the writing and the acting but mostly, it's because I feel like I'm being beaten with the obvious stick. I mean, ugh, the premiere when that dude said to Hutton that car crash victim was having a hard time and drinking and then, literally, said, "you know how people are like when they drink!" to him - geez, there might as well have been a by-stander with semaphore flags spelling out, "because you're a recovering alcoholic! One, who, in fact, witnessed this car accident because they were en route to a bar! To have a major relapse! No more than 30 seconds of screen-time ago! Alcoholic!"
And the second episode, ohhhh, Elliott is an tormented yet sensitive unstoppable killing machine. Woe is he.
Just...don't attempt to add depth or become a lot more subtle about it. Or direct your actors because they are all talented people but any time they have to get serious, I feel like I'm watching drama 101. Even Hutton, who apparently earned an Oscar nom (win?) at one point.
All the elements for a great show are there but it's just tonally...off sometimes.
Also, the new credits reek of poo. Total crap.
Both this and Burn Notice tend to overplay the "but we're really the good guys! We help people! And never take a dime of their money!" card way too much. Fine, but sometimes I just want my bad-ass entertaining spies to just be bad-ass and entertaining. If you're an excellent guilty pleasure, I could do with less guilt-trips and more pleasure.

Yes! This has especially become ridiculous on Burn Notice. That dude hasn't accepted payment on anything since the first season. Come on - the viewers understand that these people gotta eat and have rent to pay. We won't hate them for accepting payment for doing a job. As long as they aren't taking jobs where they assassinate people, it doesn't make them bad people.

New episode at 9 pm EST. The villain of the week is a Ponzi schemer (topical!).
ETA: And directed by Star Trek TNG's Jon Frakes.
