I admit, I didn't know Trajan was a real name until I Googled it just now. Hee hee, neither did I! I was about to say something but then turned to google myself.

I will never understand people who do that, if you're going to name your kid after someone famous then why not use their first name? Sarah is a perfectly nice name. Because, at least in this case, they're using their child to make a statement. Naming her Sarah and privately honouring (barf) Sarah Palin is not enough. A bumper sticker doesn't do it, because what about the times when you're not in your car? A kid is portable though.

I admit, I didn't know Trajan was a real name until I Googled it just now. Can we include kre8ive celebrity parent names? Rebecca Gayheart's mother is Floneva. Which isn't awful, but it's... odd. Floneva sounds like a prescription drug! Like Flomax and Boniva, combined...

At least Trajan/Trajian are classic, honoring Roman emporers. I know I young guy named Aurelio, which honors Marcus Aurelius. I just call him Relio.

That's such a Harry Potter-esque name! That's it! I got that "Floneva" sounds like a prescription drug, and "Gayheart" is ridiculously OTT cheerful, but I couldn't figure out why they seemed to click together. O RELI? [owlicon]
