Today I encountered people named Jassidy and Kalliope. They were college age. I guess idiot names have been around awhile

Well, I would spell it Calliope, but it is an actual name. She's a muse! Unusual, sure, but a very pretty name, I think.
Jassidy has no excuse, though.

"Jassidy" sounds like the word you'd use to describe how you felt while suffering from a nasty rash.

The only Calliope I've ever known of was Calliope Jones on Days of Our Lives. I always liked her.

Callie on Grey's Anatomy full name is also Calliope. George mentioned it in the episode he announced he had married her. As others have said Calliope is a real name but it's not common.
