No, the father didn't evict Lisa, and she apparently rejected all offers of counseling or whatever the phrase is.
I don't know about Commander Whitehead, but the Scale from Heavy has a Facebook page now. Hoarder's Pickle suggested it to me. I think I have officially had my visa approved for bizarro world.

I really liked Glen. He was definitely struggling with some intense grief and those rats were really his family. He cared for them so intensely but also seemed really interested in getting help. He also seemed to understand that it was best for the rats not to live like that. And he got to keep his favorite, which was sweet.
It was pretty creepy seeing them swarming across the floor. It was a sea of rodents!
I didn't think it was really necessary for him to witness the euthanasia of the one rat with the bite. That just seemed cruel since it placed a lot of pressure on Glen when he was already struggling.
Lisa...I don't even know what to say about her. She really had a whole lot of other issues going on. Unfortunately, at the end, it said that her dad still hadn't followed through with the eviction and that animal control had done nothing. So she and her multitude of kitties are still living in that wrecked house.

OK, I've got this thing recorded. But I am really rodent phobic, will this send me into a "They're in my house, I just know it!" tailspin? A "normal" episode sends me into cleaning, purging frenzies. I would probably not watch it if I were you. I am not much of an alarmist... but HGTV literally could not watch. She left the room due to nausea and then just went to bed. She could not come back. I looked away a lot and I'm not really rodent-phobic.

I thought the rats were cute, but I do have a soft spot for rodents.
I really felt for Glen. He was nothing like crazy chicken lady from last week. He was interested in getting help, it pained him but he did what he had to do. Plus, he really seemed to care for his rats.
I can't imagine trying to re-home that many rats. Bravo to that rescue agency.

Man, Lisa is such a bitch. And Glen was a sea of calm and rational after both of the people last week.
I really hope this isn't a trend and next season they focus less on animal hoarding. There's already a show for that!

I am truly rat-phobic, and made it through OK. When the rats were swarming, I'd peak through my fingers, but Glen's personal story really compelling. I wouldn't even categorize him as a hoarder. HE was a willing participant in the cleaning, and wanted what was best for the rats. I'd like to know where his daughter/kids(?) are. I read on another site that the original rats came from his daughter, who got them from school. Also, I loved this description of Glen from Micheal K : If Crazy Heart Jeff Bridges was a Tenenbaum....

I want more Jill(?) the rotten food hoarder, or whats-her-face, the one who would rather shop at Target than raise her kids. I'll never forget two scenes juxtaposed in that episode: the lady shopping at Target, pushing her cart down hospital-clean and OCD organized aisles and the next shot at her dirty crazy house with all her purchases (still in their bags) piled up to the ceiling. ETA: She was the one who went ballistic about keeping a plastic disposable soda cup (season 1).

They did say that the Rat Man captured 350 (!!!) more rats afterward and sent them to rescue and he is seeing the aftercare therapist. He seems motivated to get better and I think he will. When he witnessed the first euthanasia, Dr. Zasio was nowhere to be seen. Hopefully, she was just off-camera but if not? Sheesh. It shouldn't be left up to the Rat Rescue lady to talk him through that. It was a relief to read that Glen captured and gave up the remaining rats, as they came out - one of my concerns was that the whole thing might just start up again! I wish him the best going forward. Lisa, on the other hand, is not interested in improving anything at all. Her whole "sullen teen in a woman's body" demeanor was very off-putting to me.

I really wanted to give Glenn a hug, rats and all. I had to give away a pet last year (only one, not a whole hoard) and it really tore me up going through some of the same stuff - are the new people going to take care of my baby? Is he going to be abandoned? Normally animal hoarders make me literally angry with rage, but Glenn seemed like one of the few who was really committed to doing the right thing for the animals.

I shouldn't be watching this. Hanna is a disgusting, evil, foul, trashy, dirty piece of shit. Chalk that up for the whole family. Add that brat Gary to the pile. It would be an American Comedy with these selfish, disgusting people surrounded by their own filth shrilling about the gummint interferin' in them'ses bidness, if it wasn't for those poor, poor animals
