Mad Men gets a crazy number of pages, too. It's annoying because posters do pick up a lot of things I miss, but it's too hard to wade through everything to find the gems.

Then again, Prison Break had a lot of posting going on, but wasn't so popular in the ratings. That's because we were a really cool and funny bunch. And we didn't mind poking fun at the show. Heck, the forum was more enjoyable than the show, by the end! Plus, like you said, the moderating was pretty laid back.

I've noticed that on the Survivor forum, and even on The Amazing Race, which used to be crazy. I think a lot of the old-timers are dropping out. I used to be over there all the time, but now I get do most of my "talking" about tv here and on a couple of other non-TWOP boards.

The Dr. Phil thread has turned into a bitching about black folks and how violent and hypocritical they are thread. Annoying.

The number of postings on all the shows seems to be reducing. When Gossip Girl started there would be something like 21 pages for every episode. Now there seems to be only 10. Other shows don't even have that much. Have people stopped going to the site as much? I blame the writers' strike for breaking momentum and causing poster erosion. That's what broke my TWoP habit, anyway. I still occasionally read a few show threads, but there just isn't the spirit or energy in the forums to make me want to contribute much.

I feel like the Top Chef forums have been getting a little out of hand lately, but do you guys think this post is for real?
What does "kissing swamp water" mean? And can one really get a cable company to delete a single channel? If so, I think I've found the solution to all of GWOP's problems...

That wouldn't really solve GWOPs problems because evil Kate would conspire with the Cable company to keep TLC not only in their Cable offerings, but fixed so that their TVs would be permanently stuck on that particular channel and unable to be turned off if they ever dared pick up the phone. Besides, even if they did manage to get the Cable provider to take TLC down, they would still the next day be walking in a department store and become trapped under a heavy shelf just as the Display TVs all began showing a J&K+8 marathon. There is no hope for GWOP! But more on topic, does anyone else think TWOP is going overboard with their story features? (or articles, or whatever they're called) Like they have the Saddest Movies Ever, and the Creepiest Jim Carrey roles + the Best and Worst Scrooges (which are related to the same movie) And now this random Pop Culture Choices Quiz. Most of these features, it seems like they're trying to be witty, but most often not. (Except for this line: "One Dickensian Street Urchin means you’re dealing with, well, a particular Tori Spelling movie we’ll be discussing later, and Ten Dickensian Street Urchins is the other end of the spectrum, meaning it is an amazing film that also does not contain Tori Spelling." which at least made me smile) But they all see to have to do with movies. I thought it was TELEVISION without pity.

A lot of the posters at TWoP reminde me of GWoP some one the View thread said that Sherri was an ex drug addict and had 10 abortions (is it true who know?)they went on and on about it till some one finally said that CPS should take her kid .I really have to stop reading that stuff but I guess I can't quit them just like they can't quit The View.

I was just thinking about these two forums today; I remember when episode threads used to be at 25+ the day AFTER the show aired and now it's days later and barely approaching 15, and it's everyone repeating the same three points from the first three pages to the point where the mods come in and say post about something else, please.

This made me want to pound my head against the wall when I read this in the Nancy Grace thread:
Maybe my brain is a little foggy, but I don't see how this is an opinion. If I'm right, then this is another piece of evidence that "IMO" and all its versions has gone too far on TWOP.
