In the Hoarders thread, the son of the last featured "hoarder" has been posting. He was really a lovely person on the show and prior to his posting, no one had anything bad to say about him. Not that they have anything bad to say now, but it seems like every other post to this poor kid is a MARRIAGE PROPOSAL. He takes it in stride, but damn. It's all kinds of creepy. I'd hate to see what kind of PMs he's getting.

I really don't know why I read TWOP threads for any shows - especially ones they cover (basement threads tend to me a bit more sane).
I checked out the "Glee" thread and there are a number of people having kittens about a fight between two characters and bringing up domestic violence and...no, kids. Just knock it off. At least they didn't blame the behavior on Asperger's.
And one poster said that they only every "hitted" someone once. Except they spelled it "hited." They went onto say that they've never "doned" it since. I'm really hoping that person was kidding.
Then in one of the normally somewhat sane basement threads, someone said that New Jersey was in New England. Someone responded, saying that New Jersey was not considered part of New England. And that they should know because they live in New Jersey.
End of discussion, right? Nope. About a million other people had to post that New Jersey was most definitely not part of New England. One even linked to the Wikipedia page for New Jersey to prove it, which is almost as obnoxious as trotting out the dictionary definition of a word in order to prove your point.
I really wanted to post, "Okay, everyone. I think you've more than proven your geography prowess and that person, after being told by 20 people, now understands that New Jersey is not part of New England. Drop. It." but I knew I'd probably be banned for that.
I understand going on rants. I've ranted many a time about television shows. Often about stupid stuff. But there comes a point when you need to drop it (especially when someone else has proven the point and you have no new information to add), or you need to step back and realize that when someone is justifiably angry but doesn't actually do a lot of yelling and doesn't hit anyone it probably isn't a case of domestic violence, and not every socially awkward person has Asperger's. And most of all - it's just a TV show.

I like to keep up with the tread about The View .It really just makes me laugh .Today they are losing it over Whoopi's dreads in her face .Going on and on about how it drives them crazy and how rude of Whoopi to let her hair fall in her face .One person said S/he wants to look into Whoopi's eyes when she is speaking to her.Crazy stuff.

Some people in the So You Think You Can Dance thread have completely lost it. One of the dancers this season was incredibly sick as a child, and someone who doesn't like her said, "I blame the parasites for not finishing the job". There's nothing this dancer has done to anyone to warrant such a hateful statement. And there's not a mod to be found, they're too busy in the main thread, yelling at people for "boards on boards" posts.
Oh, and if you're an late-20s white male who dances Fred Astaire-Gene Kelly-ish, they hate you. Really hate you. It doesn't matter if you're a fantastic dancer, they want you gone because you're not 18 and don't dance hip-hop.
I haven't posted over there in years, anyway, may as well tell these people off and go out (banned) in style.

Sweet O, I read the So You Think You Can Dance thread, too! And it also drives me insane. There are a few posters there who take themselves far too seriously. If I ever decide I want to get banned, I'm going to let them all have it.

The posters on the So You Think You Can Dance threads take the show so seriously that it scares me sometimes. I stopped going to those threads around season 4 of the show because everyone seems so hateful.
I spotted this amazing post on Erin's Top Model thread:
It seems that TWOP Pembleton asked the thread to stay on-topic and we got this amazing post. Plus I love Pembleton's response to it:
The funny thing is that Pembleton is one of the nicer forum moderators.

LOL, you mean to tell me that that post is still there? That is awesome, hee!
I actually really like Pembleton; she's pretty laid-back, especially for a TWOP mod. She lets posters get away with a lot of crap. Plus IMO she doesn't act as snotty as some of the other mods do, although I guess that one poster would disagree with me, haha.
TWOP Dietrich seems fairly cool as well, at least over in the Movie forum. Don't know about other threads he mods.
I'm just glad that the mod I really hate (Miss Alli) is no longer there...I think.

I seriously believe that many of the people on that site are mentally ill and either can't afford therapy or don't want to go, and are using the boards as their therapy.

I've decided to look at the Rachel thread in the Glee forums as comedy gold. It's my new favourite thread.

Sweet O, I read the So You Think You Can Dance thread, too! And it also drives me insane. There are a few posters there who take themselves far too seriously. If I ever decide I want to get banned, I'm going to let them all have it. I seriously think they're all 12. After the Ryan/Ashleigh kiss during the group routine last week, a lot of people were all "Groos!", "Disgusting!", and "I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE THAT AGAIN!". Um, it was a brief, closed mouth kiss, it's not like they were slobbering on each other. I didn't see anything repulsive about it, especially considering they're married to each other. Or may be for most of those posters, watching married people show affection is gross. As for taking the show too seriously, yeah. Granted, I can't stand Mollee, and the better dancers are getting screwed over because Nigel is a borderline pedo. But, and I'm not sure since this is my first whole season watching, it seems like a lot of dancers from this have gone on to have successful careers, whether they won or not. Haven't a lot of them gone on to DWTS? Mollee sucks, but the world won't end if she wins.
