Haha, Shanmac, I think that Price Peterson actually likes Rebekah - he calls her badass in the latest recap. What can I say, I like her too. The brattiness is partly why I find her entertaining. The Originals save for Elijah really are the equivalent of spoiled children, aren't they? I enjoyed seeing her kick Stefan's ass.
She could ditch the bad accent, though. Just have the actress use her natural (Australian) accent - it's not like Elijah and Klaus have the same accent, anyway.

I'm happy about Bad Stefan - he's otherwise so boring and whiny. But if the writers who are so good at writing Damon's snarkiness can now spice up Stefan, it might be fun. I thought the "I'll never leave you again" was a bit much. I like Damon when he's both desperate for Elena to be with him and convinced she never will be. But I do think they will be hot together, although I'm sure it will take many eps for it to actually happen.
Great point about the other originals. Although we don't know for sure that they are in those coffins - Elijah thought that Klaus had cut up their bodies and distributed them across the globe, remember? And then Klaus said he hadn't...but may have been lying b/c then he killed Elijah.
Not loving the "I see dead people" angle, but I liked both Vicki and Anna as characters, which helps. I wish they could find a way to bring Lexi back. She was cool.

Last night's episode was ok. The scenes with Mason and Damon standing close together made me feel warm and tingly, as did the scenes with Damon and Alaric doing their guy-bonding thing. Rrrrrrr. I can't remember much of the rest...oh wait, Lexi was there torturing Stefan. And Jasmine Guy showed up! And Kelly Hu, love her!

I was practically tearing up during the final scene with Anna and Pearl. Sob. That's what it's always been about with Anna, hasn't it? Girl just missed her mommy. That was the best part of the ep for me. Liked seeing Lexi again, too, but didn't like that particular part of the storyline.

I kind of loved how all Damon had to do was totally flirt with Alaric (that goofy grin he gave him!) to rekindle the bromance. How can Alaric resist? I also liked that even if he couldn't say it, you got the sense that Damon knows he was a total douche (also liked him admitting to Ric that, no, he didn't have anyone else to call when he needed help).
Elena was a total hypocrite with Jeremy. She expected him to give up Anna because hanging on to her could hurt people they cared about when, hello, she's essentially putting all her loved ones at risk by refusing to let go of Stefan. Plus, it's not like Anna and Jeremy broke up, or even had a chance to say goodbye; she was dragged away and murdered, and Jeremy couldn't stop it. It's only normal that he'd have some feelings/confusion about seeing her again.
Loved Caroline kicking ass and saving Mrs. Lockwood (especially after what Mrs. Lockwood did to her, it shows that Caroline is pretty much the best person on the show; compared to her, everyone else is a total a-hole).
Loved Mason and Damon together, even if Mason's ramblings about redemption were a little heavy handed (I pictured the guy from "Don't Be a Menace": "Message!"). Mason's hot, and I'm shallow, what can I say?
Seeing Lexi again was great (the writers really screwed up when they killed her off; I don't think they realized how much fans would love her), but I guess I don't get how torturing the hell out of someone would give him back his humanity.
Ten bucks says Rebekah and/or Klaus frees Stefan in the first few minutes of the next episode. He can't be redeemed that easily or so soon into the season.
Anna and Pearl's reunion was so sweet. Poor Anna. Always looking for her mom.
So I guess Jenna's "moved on," or else everyone's already forgotten about her? I was kind of expecting to see her, even just a brief scene where she says goodbye to Ric or something. Poor Jenna always gets screwed over.

I'm sad because I wanted Pearl, Anna, Lexie, Mason and Grams to stick around. I like them all, so I didn't want to see them go.
I was so sad for Anna/Jeremy. And I agree about Elena's hypocresy. WTF girl?!? I also felt awful for Bonnie. Go be with Matt!
Alaric/Damon making up was my favorite part to be honest. Love them!
Lexie kicks ass. Can we have her back?!?
Caroline is still the HBIC.

At least we got to see Lexi knocking Stefan's head against a door. A reviewer pointed out that when he first saw her, the expression on his face was fear. Lexi don't play, y'all.

True, that was probably the best part of the episode (seeing him go down like a ton of bricks was kind of hilarious, and seeing him lying there made it apparent how tiny, if ripped, Paul Wesley is ... hee!).

I was happy to see Lexi back and would totally be on board for her to be resurrected. And I wondered about Jenna, too. What was that all about? Ric never got to say good-bye to her or anything and she was always in the dark. They better do something to give us more of her down the road, but I don't know if I can hang on to the show much longer.

Most of the ghosts we saw in this ep, I noticed, were ghosts because of Damon. He killed Mason and Lexi outright (I loves me some crazy ass Damon, but he seriously sucks for that); you could also argue that Anna died because he was dumb enough to give Elena and Bonnie the Gilbert device (am I remembering that right? Or did he just give them the vampire compass thingy?) and that Gram died because of his idiotic fixation on rescuing Katherine.
