Doesn't Mad Men film only in the summer? And they don't even do that many episodes. With SNL ending in early May and starting up again in late September, that seems like a pretty perfect schedule match.

Ginger - They wrap the majority of Mad Men's season before it airs in the summer - they started S4 of Mad Men in March this year. As I said, it's kinda odd that during SNL's hiatus, Arminsen didn't chose to do a project in LA, where Elisabeth is. Mantaining two very intense, time-consuming jobs on completely separate coasts would be hard on any couple even if the jobs aren't overlapping 100% of the time.

Plus, they always seemed like a bizarro/totes random pairing to begin with.
