I hope they work out it for the kids' sakes. How old is their son? Less than a year? Sad situation. 9 months old, I think. And a 2 year old. Postpartum depression would be a good defense (not that I think she needs to get off the hook - unless she really is ill). But who knows, she could have just as easily been paid to keep quiet. While I do enjoy a good gossipy scandal, I hope this one just goes AWAY for the sake of those little tiny kids.

It wasn't just the Enquirer. Star Magazine had the story as well. So when two tabloids have the same story, where there's smoke there's fire.

There have long been stories that he frequented hookers while on tour - even while married - so this incident does not surprise me. Another disappointment.
He is not as squeaky clean as his image.

The Enquirer is not backing off their story about Rachel Uchitel. She did get a lawyer, but it is famewhore extraordinaire Gloria Allred. Is she actually going to sue or just call a press conference to say she will?

The fact that Tiger hasn't sued the National Enquirer for defamation over the cheating story that broke a few days ago makes me wonder if it has legs. He isn't afraid to sue either, ie that Irish Newspaper. I'm wondering if Elin is a citizen? Is not, she gets charged with something there could be problems there as well. Interesting how the article says the affair started in June. Tiger did poorly at the US Open in June and a few weeks later in July missed the cut at the British Open. He also blew a lead and lost it on the last few holes at the PGA Championship. He is usually rock solid at the majors.
Also, you can plead the 5th and not talk to the police, well does that only apply to US citizens?

Yes, it's taking them this long because they need to figure out how best to deal with it. They have quite a mess on their hands. With The Enquirer standing by it's story and claiming they have more dirt on Rachel Uchitel and his wife supposedly giving conflicting reports to the authorities, I'm thinking they might end up going the public apology route if the cheating story is indeed true. There are so many famewhores involved that this story could be tabloid fodder for a long time.

I'm guessing for sure she's a US citizen since they've been married for so long. Some years ago a Swedish citizen would automatically lose their Swedish citizenship of they applied for citizenship in another country, but the laws have been changed. If she scratched him and attacked him/his car with a golf club she needs to get herself some counseling. Wonder if she was drunk even though he supposedly wasn't?
I'm thinking the cheating story might be true, in some form or another. Which would not excuse her behaviour at all.

This is off topic a bit but I wonder if the execs at GM are a little worried that the airbags didn't deploy? If the story is true that Tiger sustained his injuries IN the vehicle when he hit the tree and the bags didn't work, that might be a huge problem for GM.

Wow, I thought they were a nice couple but I don't follow Tiger or golf that closely I had no idea about the cheating and temper tantrums. , the initial story is indeed untrue and his wife attacked him and bashed the car out of anger related to the cheating stories.
TMZ is sketchy but their story makes more sense than the official account. Based on the photos there was no reason to break the back window for a rescue, she should have unlocked a side door with a spare set of keys or onstar if the SUV was so equipped. The car wasn't on fire so there was no reason to get him out in too much of a hurry, in fact he could have had back injuries and it's safer to leave him where he was until medics arrived. I currently think: They got into a fight - Elin scratching his face in the process - he stormed out to his car, she followed him and probably smashed the back window with the golf club as he drove off. Maybe that startled him. He was angry, distracted and not paying attention and he hit the hydrant and the tree. Were the cops able to investigate the driveway up near the house? I bet they find little glass shards up there...unless the staff were able to stall long enough to clean it up before anyone could investigate. So much word.

I didn't know that people were allowed to cancel meetings with the police. I'm sure there are many minority youths in inner cities that might be interested to know this.
