Yeah, I agree. Tiger is not exactly a tabloid target and has been successful in keeping his private life private. That story wouldn't be out unless he wanted it to be. Though I'm wondering why he wants the world to know his wife scratched him up and went after his car with a golf club. To take heat off him perhaps?
I also agree he is going to try to prevent Elin from being charged if at all possible. I don't foresee Tiger pressing charges if he is presented with the opportunity. She is his wife and the mother of his children. Plus, I imagine Elin being jailed isn't good for gathering new sponsors either. Though couldn't Elin be charged with lying to the police if the police feel there is evidence she lied to cover up her bad behavior?

Well, I think he obviously leaked the story via that "friend". So he knows it's going to come out one way or the other. Maybe he's hoping he can stall long enough for his wounds to heal so that they don't charge Elin. I actually don't think he ever HAS to talk to the cops, though. They can take the 5th and keep quiet. But that in itself looks damaging. As it is the rumbling about something nefarious keeps growing.
From the yahoo article: I am disturbed by comments (not here) that Tiger deserved getting his face bashed in by Erin because he cheated on her. If the roles were reversed there would be more outrage about this cover up. |

There are cell phone pics of the smashed SUV. Yeah, the airbag should've deployed, so I wonder how he got significant enough facial injuries to send him to the hospital? And why would she smash the back window? You'd think she'd break a side window to unlock it and open a door since the doors appear unscathed. The "official" story just doesn't make sense. It's not that uncommon of an occurrence, tbqh. If he didn't hit the tree at the exact pressure point on his fender, the airbags wouldn't deploy. |

I agree. Many of the ONTD kids were all, "Well, he cheated! He totally deserved it!" Well, first off the woman he's accused of cheating with said it never happened. But let's say he really did cheat. Fine, she has every right to be pissed. Move out or have him out. Get counseling. Call a lawyer and file for divorce. These are ways to handle to your spouse cheating. Scratching up his face and chasing after him with a golf club are not acceptable options. If they decide to stick it out I really hope they get counseling.

The alleged lover is lawyering up for her denials. These gals usually go the other way and out the famous guy. Is it possible that there really was no affair? I would guess Tiger's team is going to spin this as an unfortunate misunderstanding caused by a sleazy tabloid. Elin still went awfully batshit for an Enquirer rumor though. But we don't know her temper, their history, etc., etc.

That's what I was wondering. What if nothing happened and....
I don't condone the hitting and violence. But I wonder if she took the story more seriously because it was ....the Enquirer? When it comes to stories of infidelity their track record is pretty good. They might be wrong about everything else and I usually don't even bat an eyelash at the other tabloids, but I know a do a double-take when I see a story of infidelity in The Enquirer.

Maybe they were arguing and when he crashed, she panicked and that is why she broke the window with a club and dragged him out through the back instead of opening up the door? I have panicked before and done incredibly counterproductive things in an emergency situation. Or I could just have my rose-tinted glasses on...

Maybe Tiger has strayed in the past? That might make her more willing to believe the story. Though it's beginning to look like he was innocent of cheating in this case.
Yeah, their son was born this year. I do think odds are they will try to sort things out because of their kids. Again, I do hope they get some form of counseling. Clearly, there are trust issues if nothing else.
