One of my favorite Hitcock movies is Strangers on a Train which I think was released in 1951. I think it is somewhat underrated. I love Robert Walker as the villian.

Seriously, the author lost any credibility after his "WAH!, Mulholland Drive didn't make any sense! And therefore David Lynch is a terrible director!" whine. And, you know what, yeah, the psychoanalysis at the end of Psycho is a bit lame. But the 80 minutes plus leading up to that are pretty solid.

Don't let Huntergrayson see this!Who the fuck is Ben Shapiro? Hate to break it to ya Benny-boy but Vertigo, Rear Window, Notorious, North by Northwest and Psycho are all considered some of the greatest films ever made. Actual world-famous critics agree on this. Critics with gravitas. Such a shame they'll let anyone post drivel on the Internet. This is more for giggles, because I personally disagree with just about every word written in it.

He lost me at this:
Oh har har!
ETA: Ok, I just finished the list. I want to see this guy's top ten favorite directors. I can't even imagine.

I caught Rear Window about a month ago and...I wasn't all that impressed. Sure it was good, but it didn't have me on the edge like I thought it would. LOVED Grace Kelly's fashion. Edith Head, so brilliant.

I hate to confess it, because it is so loved and my friend's favorite Hitch, but I like Rear Window just...okay. I'm bumping because Universal has announced that, as part of their 100th Anniversary Marketing/Celebration, they are releasing The Birds on Blu-Ray and the "Alfred Hitchcock series" at the end of the year. (FWIW, the titles that Universal previously released on DVD as the 'Masterpiece Collection' are - Saboteur, Shadow of a Doubt, Rope, Rear Window, The Trouble With Harry, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds, Marnie , Torn Curtain (1966), Topaz, Frenzy, & Family Plot). Also I hate Kim's "using the score for Vertigo = rape" ridiculousness. Which sucks, because that is one of my favorite films and she's being so douchey that I will now be annoyed by her on-screen. Meanwhile, A&E is developing a TV series that would be a prequel to Psycho. (Which they already tried once before.)
