I agree that it is probably Marlee Matlin. Although I am sure there are plenty of recognizable actresses that have suffered domestic abuse. Nicole Kidman looked very upset for the remainder of the broadcast, and her husband was holding her hand the whole time (which he doesn't normally do despite their performative PDA). I have no idea whether Nicole ever had personal experience with domestic violence, apart from having portrayed it in a TV series. But I don't think that's a prerequisite to having been disturbed and upset by what happened.

I was uncomfortable and a bit shaken at home from seeing it on live TV, I can't imagine how people in the room felt. The entire tone of the event shifted after that moment.
I remember seeing some red carpet journalist put Matlin on the spot the day that Hurt died and I felt very bad for her.

I think this might be about Marlee Matlin; I didn’t watch but am assuming William Hurt was part of the In Memorium segment. I googled it; he was in that segment. Marlee Matlin was my guess, which I had put under a spoiler. (I had to go back and fix the tags. ) ETA: I agree that it is probably Marlee Matlin. But I don't think that's a prerequisite to having been disturbed and upset by what happened. I dunno whether she was a DV victim either. One can make the argument that the influence of the CO$ had created an environment of emotional abuse within her first marriage.

I noticed that, too, with Nicole. In one shot, Keith is reaching over the table to hold her hand, while she looked very uncomfortable. This was before The Slap though.
Just a strange, crazy night in a strange, crazy year.

Looks like an extramarital affair and associated lawsuit have unmasked CDan’s Enty. Love the confirmation that he’s trash.

That site has gotten more vile with each passing year. Shocking that the guy who runs it is a piece of shit!

The heyday of blind items is so far behind us now. Ted Casablancas and Lainey were fun. Now we have Deux Moi and this jackhole. DMwill post whatever nonsense people submit to her. And Enty’s are so gross and/or patently ridiculous, and yet DM, the Behind the Blinds podcast and that horrible orange woman on TikTok just run with them like they’re the gospel truth.

I never understood people who believed his BI’s. This group could write more believable BI’s!

That's the one that for a while people were convinced was Robert Downey, Jr, right?

I never understood people who believed his BI’s. This group could write more believable BI’s! Some of them have followed people their entire careers. I remember after the Harvey Weinstein accusations were finally published, Gretchen Mol had to come out and refute a disgusting BI that Lainey wrote about her exchanging sex w/Harvey for roles in Miramax films. She says it never happened and expressed sympathy for his victims. But the Miramax "casting couch" provided fodder for Lainey BIs for years.
