Based on nothing but my impression of him, I don’t think it is because he needs the money. I think he wants a higher level of fame than the one he’s got. He reminds me a little of Jlo in that sense, but starting much later in the game. JLo has early acting success but she wanted the pop diva career, too. His situation seems analogous to me. The whole app thing was just so thirsty.

I suspect this is a case of him having a little too much money to throw at his vanity projects than him needing the money. That said, this article says Chris Hemsworth made $150,000 from the first Thor movie and I think in general Marvel has a reputation for being as stingy as they can be with actor salaries, so I can buy that he is not rolling in Marvel money specifically--but he gets quite a bit of work. |

I think Hemsworth is making many millions off Marvel , so I’m sure Jeremy is fine. He kept doing his remodeling stuff after getting famous right? Maybe it’s a because he has too much time to indulge in side projects. |

I'm going to blame his "roommate" who is now his manager. Those two have a strange friendship. Jeremy seems to do whatever his "friend" wants. Jeremy fired his stylist & his PR a couple of years ago exactly around the time his "friend" became his manager. Apparently the app was his "friend's" idea. Partying, drinking (he has a full bar at home), & not sleeping can't be good for his voice or health. I don't think he's flipped homes for a years now but he buys properties to rent. (A guy he evicted left a grenade behind. Scary!) He lives in Reno but only because there's no state income tax in Nevada. His daughter said that the he didn't like Reno on an IG post he made & he quickly deleted it. Little kids don't lie. Edit: Jeremy Renner's ex wife sues for full custody. She will present her evidence in November. |

I saw his Jeep commercial today and I felt such second-hand embarrassment for him. It was at a restaurant, so the TV was turned down and I couldn't hear the music, but the music credit at the bottom of the screen ("Jeremy Renner -- song title") and his rocking out on stage at the end of the ad made me cringe.

Uh oh! Jeremy is demanding full custody & that his ex has monitored visits with their daughter. Wow, he going to be promoting a children's movie while he's battling for custody. I wonder how the promo tour will go. |
