The MistIt's an adaptation of Stephen King's short story, and, since it's written and directed by Frank Darabont, this will hopefully be put on the short list of Good Stephen King Adaptations. (there's 2 versions of the trailer. The second was better I think.) I like the second one better, too. I think they trimmed the unfinished FX and it helps. I haven't read the story but I really liked it when it was written by HP Lovecraft and called "From Beyond". I'm being harsh. I'll rent it. If not for Thomas Jane -- who's not aging well but is still superboneable -- and the always-spectacular Andre Braugher and, really, who doesn't want to slap Marcia Gay Harden? I watched both trailers three times over just for that.

Saw a preview for Beowulf, and I'm sorry to say this, since the cast is pretty impressive, that it looks like it will suck. Angelina was way too computer-generated and, well, fake.
I never liked the original work anyway-compared to the Greek and Roman classics, it was downright boring.
ETA: I may have turn in my Neil Gaiman fanclub membership card for saying that.

Wanted--which has my ass in a seat already just because of the cast. McAvoy, Jolie AND Morgan Freeman? I am so there!

Oddly enough, Wanted has almost nothing to do with the graphic novel it it's based on, lol.

I love James McAvoy but the Jolie factor is really off-putting to me. Might wait for the DVD.

The plot seems formulaic, but having James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Thomas Kretschmann in the cast means I'll probably see it. Angelina Jolie doesn't really bug me as an actress.

And here's what the plot in the original was like. Having read the comic a month ago, I wasn't surprised they'd tone down some of the story elements. At least we were spared Halle Berry as the lead (Jolie's role in the comic was played by a Halle lookalike).

The trailer for Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is the all-time Meh of Mehs. John C. Reilly is a wonderful character actor, but I don't see him as a lead in anything, even a stupid parody comedy.

shriekingeel, I saw that trailer too. I love John C. Reilly, but not when he's doing a Will Ferrell imitation.

I really liked the Walk Hard trailer, but I wonder if that's got all the best parts.
