Kathy Griffin gave away the stuff from her Grammy gift bag to the audience at her talk show a couple weeks ago, there was some truly ridiculous stuff in it. Like a clown nose. An actual little red foam clown nose.

The excitement of awards season has ended, so naturally it's time for the MTV Movie Awards to weigh in:
What's with the lack of Twilight/Breaking Dawn noms? Didn't they give every stupid movie of that entire series the Best Movie Award? Did the recent Razzies sweep make them reconsider?

Wow...I might enjoy that show this year. I've actually seen most of those movies.

I've seen all but Life of Pi, The House...Street, and the Campaign. But I honestly didn't know MTV still had movie awards...

They were firmly up the Twilight series' ass for four years which sucked all the fun out of it. I used to love the MTV Movie Awards back in the day because even though they always were irrelevant, they used to be a lot of fun. I hope with Rebel Wilson presenting and not too shabby nominations this year, they'll return to form.

It did used to be lots of fun, particularly in Jim Carrey's heyday. He could always be counted on to do something that was actually amusing. Plus it gave us this.

She was very bland if I remember. She kicked all kinds of ass as an Emmy host, but played it very safe. I was bored to tears. Why can't they just name Steve Martin as permanent host? He is seriously the only host I've truly enjoyed from start to finish (AND, AND.... his shows always end on time!) #bonuspoints!

Ellen also had the misfortune to host the year 3 of the Acting categories had overwhelming favorites: Forest Whitaker, Helen Mirren, and Jennifer Hudson, and the overdue director Martin Scorcese, so the only suprise of the entire night was Alan Arkin beating Eddie Murphy. Plus none of the BP nominees were "passionate" choices. Since we have no front runners yet, hopefully she'll have a more exciting night. Love her and love the choice!

The Butler is getting very good responses from screenings, especially Oprah and Forest Whitaker. She'd be a trip during awards season as a contender.
