Earth Girls is AWESOME. That used to be my "I'm in a terrible mood and only this movie will do" go-to video. Well, that and Flatliners, which probably qualifies quite nicely for this thread too.

Whatever happened to Michael [from Grease II]? I used to think he was so cute. I know this is from a couple of days ago, but he's currently married to the woman who plays Tabitha on Passions (who is also Hayley Mill's sister). And he was in Empire Records as Rex Manning a few years ago, and a music video more recently. Thanks for the info. I don't watch Passions so I have no clue who she is. I LOVE Valley Girl. Love Love Love. The music, the dialogue, everything about it.

How can you not love Elizabeth Berkley's imitation of a Neptune Washer during the sex scene with Kyle MacLachlan in Showgirls? Verhoeven has done some very campy stuff, Robocop & one of my favotites Flesh & Blood with Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rutger Hauer, Bruno Kirby, need I continue?
Anyone ever see Forever Lulu? A Desperately Seeking Susan rip-off with Deborah Harry in the "Susan" role. It features Alec Baldwin in one of his first movie roles as a Shakespeare quoting cop, Annie Golden (who was actually in Desperately Seeking Susan), Paul Gleason, Charles Ludlam, and Hanna Schygulla, goddess of Fassbinder. I actually saw this at a movie theatre because I adored Deborah Harry. Still do.

A bit late, but this movie is awesome! There's no shame in admitting you liked it, and there were some quality actors in it too.

I liked Dog Soldiers. I feel slightly ashamed to admit this. Well, it's not straight camp, but rather a mix of horror/gore, machismo and camp. Werewolves in the Scottish Highlands? Genius! I love this movie! "I hope I give you the shits, you fucking wimp." Fantastic stuff!

Woo, Dog Soldiers fans! I think one of the reasons I like it is that I saw it the day before I spent a week in the Highlands. In a hostel with no locks on the doors...during the full moon. I spent the whole week being vaguely creeped out, but having fun none the less. And yeah, that movie is so quotable. "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!"

Add me to the Dog Soldiers fan train, but I'd argue quite strenuously that it ain't camp.

I'll agree that it's not camp in the traditional sense. But I maintain that any movie involving werewolves has a pronounced camp factor. And like I said, it's more a melange of horror/gore-machismo-camp. I mean, come on: "You think all women are bitches? Well I'm the real thing!"

So agree on Earth Girls Are Easy! That movie is just so silly from start till finish, cracks me up every time. And From Dusk Till Dawn is another movie I just have to watch when it's on. One of the few movies I thought George Clooney was cool, must have been the tattoo though.
But my most favourite 'campy' movie is still Clash of the Titans. It's the bad 80s special effects that makes this movie so bad. Good? Special? Whatever it is, I can't turn it off when it's on.

Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. Bad 1970's effects but hey, it did give Jane Seymour her big break. Does anyone remember this movie?
