I got Drop Dead Gorgeous and Buffy the Vampire Slayer in the 5.50 bin.
The one by my house seems to have a lot of crap that I don't have any interest in.

I saw Fargo in the bargain bin, but this was at Ralph's, a supermarket chain on the U.S. West Coast. Don't know if that helps anyone.

My local Wal-Mart doesn't always have the best selection of $5.50 DVDs, although I have found some gems in there once in a while. I looked at Wal-Mart's website, and it lists all the $5.50 DVDs there, and you can order over the Internet, too. Not sure about shipping, because I haven't ordered from it yet, but if you don't absolutely have to have it right this minute, this seems like a good way to save some money.
Also, last time I was there, they'd added a big $1.00 DVD bin, which was full of the usual crap you'd expect to find there. I picked up Bela Lugosi Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla, which I'd heard of but never seen, and surprisingly, the quality (picture quality) was really good! And, the movie wasn't as bad as it could have been, either...Lugosi was still able to act, and didn't look as bad as he did in his last films, when his morphine addiction and alcoholism were peaking. So, a look into the $1.00 bin can pay off sometimes, too.

Winston Wolfe, thank you for the tip. I'm at the Walmart website now, and yep, a whole section of $5.50 dvds that have never been anywhere near my store's bin. I've got one in my cart already, too. I owe you!

Very excited about this one. It's one of the Ewan MacGregor films I have not scene. I have heard it really isn't that great, but I am so intrigued by the rumored behind the scenes tension between EM and Ashley Judd that I must watch it.

Thanks for the tip about going to the website. Our walmart never has anything inthe $5.50 bin except 5000 copies of Jacob's Ladder.
I checked the website and not only did I find the movie Sneakers for around $7 (one of my guilty pleasures), but they had my verison of the holy-grail-of-DVDs, the DVD version of Darby O'Gill and the Little People, for around $14.
Oh yeah, there will be much o'merriment at the bootsie household this Memorial Day weekend.

I recently purchased the first four episodes of Jem! on VHS from Blockbuster for $2, which at the time I thought was a fabulous bargain. Remember Jem!??!
Anyway. Wow. I can't believe even my five-year old brain found this shite amusing. I guess you can never go back.

In other news, I picked up Ronin at the grocery store for about $5. It ain't Citizen Kane, but the car chases alone make that a steal.
