Glee's second half of the first season was weak, tis true, but the finale was great and seemed to bring the show back to its first half. Time will tell how the second season does.
By called Lea a "filthy hoor" doesn't that imply she's a whore, thus, took money for sex? Did she do that? If not, then the term isn't correct. Also, what terms are the men involved being called, since they cheated on their S.O.s with her? Surely they're deserving of some equally nasty epithet.

Seriously! I highly doubt Lea said, "Sleep with me or a bunch of orphans are going to get it!" I certainly have issues with women going after committed men but it's not like these guys couldn't have told Lea to take a long walk off a short pier!

If Glee is going to thrive, it is going to have to constantly introduce new characters every season and then phase out the "older" ones as they graduate. The biggest mistake they could make would be to keep this cast, who will be Juniors next year, in tact until they graduate in what will be Glee's third year and then introduce a totally new cast in the 4th year.
Re: Lea being called a whore: how about "promiscuous"? Sounds better than "slut"!

So apparently when Lea was 11, she and her mom were part of a documentary on motherhood. Her mother's views on sex are pretty, heh, interesting in light of this thread. She's the first and last one to talk in the clip. Lea makes an appearance at the end. Shockingly, she's mugging for the camera.  Ooh, I would love Broadway gossip. Who's nice? Who's evil? Which cast secretly hates each other? The usual.  And who's crazy! (Seriously, what's the deal with Alice Ripley's Youtube channel? Ongoing performance art project? Over-identification with her Next to Normal role? I must know!) Maybe we could use the Broadway and Beyond thread for gossip? |

That video is truly stomach-turning. Her mother is a real piece of work, and Lea is annoying as hell hamming it up for the camera. And her mom couldn't have thrown in, "Have fun, safely?" Or y'know, not at all, since she's ELEVEN!

The guy had a promising career and is now a complete joke. Slightly OT, but Alice Ripley is a lovely person with a fabulous voice who also happens to be completely batshit. |

Huh. I'm surprised at all the cracks about Lea's looks. I realise it's in the eye of the beholder and all that, but I think she's such a pretty thing. The hair, the skin, the eyes, the lips... those are some gorgeous features, IMO. I also appreciate that she looks pretty in a real way - I bet she's been told a hundred times that she'd look better with a Hollywood nose but has so far resisted the pressure. Whereas Dianna Agron is the same age and looks to me like she's already had a nose job. |
