I never even watched the Spiderman movies (HATE Kirsten Dunst, and never cared much for Tobey either), but Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone? I am so there!
I have a total girlcrush on her. I still haven't seen Easy A, though.

She'll be hosting SNL next weekend! I can't wait to watch this. I really hope they give her some good material to work with.

Apparently, the way Emma convinced her parents to let her go out to CA and start auditioning is by creating a Powerpoint presentation to Madonna's "Hollywood". That must have been a very well put together PP since they agreed!

In a stunning twist of events, she's actually set to play Gwen Stacey in the Spiderman reboot! I guess Emma is a natural blonde, which I didn't realize until recently, so it will be interesting to see her with her real hair color. I don't know much about the comics but a lot of articles about the casting refer to her as Spidey's "doomed first love." -- I hope they don't kill her off in the first new movie. FWIW, the names that were being mentioned for Gwen Stacey when it looked like Emma was Mary Jane included Mia Wachowski (Burton's Alice) and Dianna Argon (Glee) - given the switcheroo, maybe they're in contention for Mary Jane now?
Best possible SNL skit: Emma as Lohan circa-Mean Girls, complete with Tina Fey and Tim Meadows cameos.

She's now blonde for Spiderman. She's still very pretty, but I hope she goes back to red after filming. |

I just saw Easy A and I found her incredibly likeable. I hope she has her head screwed on tight.
She just finished the film adaptation of the best selling book The Help. Here's a bit of irony about that movie: She's playing Gwen Stacey in the new Spiderman film; also featured in The Help is Bryce Dallas Howard, who played Gwen Stacey in the previous Spiderman film.

I think she looks awful as a blonde.  ETA: She's playing Gwen not MJ, but still. Turning redheads to blondes is always a downgrade IMO. See: Kidman, Nicole and Lohan, Lindsay. |

I thought her red hair was part of her appeal--why immediately dye it blonde? That seems like such a waste. But I'm guessing she's not losing any sleep over it.  |
