He looks like Gollum now. It's scary. Back in the early days of TRL, he was like your best friend's dorky older brother who had cool friends, but now I might cross the street if I saw him coming.

I can't even remember what he looked like before he lost the weight.
*Google image searches...*
Hmm. I don't think he looks any worse then or now. I'd still want to hit it either way.

I used to be ok with him when he first started on MTV...
Now? I don't know why, but he just exudes the essence of tool to me. I just want to smack him, or make him go play golf somewhere out of my range of vision.

I think his "Last Call" show would be better if it was styled a little bit more like TRL as opposed to him being the third-rate wannabe late night comedian that he is so desperately trying to be. The joke writing is terrible, and of course Carson isn't a real comedian so can barely work with the crap he's got.
Another thing about it that seems really half-ass to me is the way that the show will go a little bit farther in snarking on celebrities than, say, Jay Leno would--like on Carson's show they've made a few tiny jokes about Tom Cruise being gay, Scienos being crazy, Mel Gibson hating Jews and stuff like that you'd never hear on "The Tonight Show", but then they're still an NBC show and they seem like they're still trepidatious about it and won't really go all out with it to really make it funny. So yeah, half-assed.
And Carson will make facial expressions when his jokes bomb to indicate that he knows his place, but he doesn't make self-deprication funny either. Halfway embracing the suckage doesn't help matters any.
I wish that, instead of a monologue, they'd look into finding a creative way to deliver some celebrity/entertainment news--like if Dlisted or Defamer were TV shows. Or else I just wish they'd cut the crap and get straight to the guests. From Monday through Thursday his show is only 30 minutes long, so between his lame opening comedy bits and the musical guest, the one interview he gets to do usually feels really rushed. Last night was a re-run with Sue Johannson on, and they began the interview with her showing some sex toys. Yeah, she only got to show two toys. I would've rather seen them allot enough time for her to show three or four rather than giving it to Carson to do whatever he did to open the show.
I also liked it more the way he and the guest sat before he had a desk. That gave the show more of the alternative feel the show needs to work with, IMO.
