Very interesting... though I admit I'm slightly disappointed she's playing another foreigner. And, er, an alien.

She is absolutely wonderful in Brooklyn, and comes across as wicked smart and utterly charming in interviews. Is there something in the water in Ireland that produces such wise, talented and mature young thespians like Jack Gleeson and Ms. Ronan? I also love the way they say eh instead of uh when reaching for words.

I'm going to see Brooklyn tonight. I'm so excited!
ETA What a beautiful film. Saoirse was perfection, though I think she may lose the Oscar to someone who has a flashier, more baity role. While it was Saoirse's movie all the way, there were tons of other great performances, large and small, by women and it was wonderful to see. Highly recommend.

I lurve her. That dress suits her personality - elegant and pretty, like a refreshing breeze.

I like it, too. It looks clean and breezy when it could have easily read as predictable and boring.
