From all the coverage on Vulture, it seems like a renewal is likely because they often mention how it is an insider favorite among the ABC brass/studio heads.

Its 18-49 demographic is pretty high so renewal is highly likely. I could easily see ABC moving it to a different day/timeslot though as the coveted post-Modern Family slot is a great place for them to test out a new sitcom.

HunterG and I were talking about the first season on Twitter. I agree with him that the writers and the actors seemed to figure out what they wanted to do with the characters in the second season. Not that the first season is not funny, but I think that they really gelled in S2. Has anyone heard any renewal rumors? I think that the whole first season was already shot before they even aired the first episode. So they did not have any feedback during the first season. It was also only 13 episodes long and I think it started to get really funny in the last 5 or 6 episodes. I would say all things considered it actually found its footing pretty quickly. I would be surprised if it was not renewed. It loses a lot of Modern Family's audience but so has every other show that has followed it. Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23 actually did better in that slot. Still I think Apt. 23 is going to be a lot more polarizing a show and will drop off next week. Happy Endings is ABC's second highest rated comedy so they'd be crazy to cancel it. Cougar Town on the other hand I think is on its last legs unfortunately.

So there's apparently a dropped/missing episode like there was last year - it aired in England already this summer but they have no clue if/when ABC is airing it here.
Also, Outfest is doing a Happy Endings panel with Pally and the crew. I'm going and so excited!

The kickball episode. I read somewhere that they are rolling it into season 3. But it is not too hard to find if you want to watch it now. I've seen it and I thought it was pretty funny. I don't know why this is the one that they decided to delay. Maybe not one of the absolute best episodes but it was funnier than both the Christmas one and the one with Rob Riggle.

I am watching! Though, I don't feel like it's quite as funny as it used to be? Previously, Mr. carrier76 would have to stop the DVR sometimes because I was laughing so hard I was in tears and couldn't breathe. I'm not doing it so much this season.

I don't think the show is as funny as it used to be. I think that is due to too much screentime for Max and saddling Alex with Dave in every episode. Dave and Max are horribly unfunny.
