I don't think the show is as funny as it used to be. I think that is due to too much screentime for Max and saddling Alex with Dave in every episode. Dave and Max are horribly unfunny. I've disliked the guy who plays Max ever since I heard an interview where he says he enjoys being a dick during improv, like leaving everyone hanging or fucking with a scene on purpose. I also dislike Alex and Dave together. Dave sucks the funny from any scene. |

I liked tonight's episode, but I missed the first 6 minutes. Apparently ten years ago everyone was on a season of The Real World. And Max came out on t.v., but his mouth was full, so they captioned him as saying "I'm Greg!".
I thought this was a really funny episode.

The Christmas episode was awesome. As someone whose birthday is the day before New Years I am familiar with the dreaded combo gift.
The show is finishing up the season early and it is moving to Sunday nights. Its future does not look good at all. I only hope if it is cancelled it ends up on tbs with Cougar Town.

It's being pulled from Sundays now and will only air on Tuesdays. The ratings were really low on Sundays which is not exactly a shock considering it got zero promotion and no other sitcom has done well on Sundays at 10:00. I love the show but twice a week was a little much. Unfortunately it is still going off the air in March and there will be 5 episodes left that are not scheduled to air. Not a good sign. Same with Don't Trust the B which I also really like.

The show has been really uneven for me but I've loved the last 2 episodes. Mostly because Max didn't get a ton of screentime and Penny and Max were in different storylines. Lordy those two are annoying together.
