Is anyone else made uncomfortable by a movie that treats teacher incompetence so flippantly? It just seems as though this movie is terribly timed, considering the national debate about education (and teacher's unions) going on now.
On a shallow note, Cameron is looking a bit rough.

Her wardrobe for the movie is ridiculous. I don't know any public school teachers who can afford clothes and shoes that expensive.

Yes. I have a roommate who is a teacher and considering her and many others' jobs are on the line right now, I can only think "Bad Timing". I know it's a comedy and I'm sure she really has a heart!of!gold! in the movie but it seems like it's in poor taste.

I was more pissed about the fact that the movie's 'point' seems to be "hot woman acting badly! LULZ FOR DAYS," but I am happy to have another reason to judge it.

I saw the preview for this before Bridesmaids and it looks terrible. Cameron is starting to look a bit like Steven Tyler. The only bright spot is Jason Segel.

I went to see Bridesmaids with my friends, one of whom is a teacher and I saw the poster for this as we were walking into the theatre. I pointed and jokingly said "That's you!" Not the Bad Teacher part, but the ridiculous clothes. Then we saw the trailer and it looks like a redux of School of Rock without the awesomeness... and also wait, she's already a teacher and is acting like that? She didn't fall into the job through some whimsy? EEEW!
But when she was grading the papers and writing "You're Stupid!" on them all, my friend who had a giant pile of grading awaiting her once we finished seeing Bridemaids said "Hmm... maybe that SHOULD be me!"
The timing does seem bad and the overall theme insulting on many levels. What's up Cami Diaz? She's been in a ton of stinkeroos lately.

I thought the commercial looked funny; I didn't really take it that seriously seeing as how it's a comedy.

I just find it so odd that Justin and Cameron apparently have no qualms about playing each other's love interest in a film after breaking up! I guess they're a case of exes who are still on good terms.

I don't find it odd at all, I find it nice and mature, but that is odd in Hollywood, aren't you supposed to detest your ex forever and ever?

I think Cameron and Justin had been broken up for quite a long time already. It's not like they broke up and 2 months later they were filming this movie, at least 3 years had passed from their break up.
I also agree with the other posters that this movie is just in poor taste. At first, I thought it was just due to the poor timing of the release of this movie, but then I thought, I'd never laugh at the scene where Cameron is grading papers and she writes "You're stupid," I think that's just mean and not funny.
