It is a great gift to be able to bring laughter and smiles to millions of people. Not alot of people possess that gift but Don Knotts did. One of a kind.
I know I will shed some tears during the "In Memorium" segment of the Oscars Sunday.

I always think of Dana Gould's stand up where he talks about how he met Don Knotts and said he was the nicest guy ever, but he could never make a prank call. His voice is just too distinctive.

I know I will shed some tears during the "In Memorium" segment of the Oscars Sunday. As will, I. I absolutely adored him as Mr. Furley and he was truly an iconic character actor; as well as a hilarious comedic film actor. What bummed me out the most is the other night (night before he passed) Mr. Spin and I were watching the Simpsons. When a clip came on and they had Don Knotts impersonaiting his old Barney Fife character. I said, "I love Don Knotts! And he's still alive and makes appearances...Er. I shouldn't say anything, because they always pass away or I hear that they have shortly thereafter..." Gah. R.I.P. Dear Mr. Knotts.

Aww, as soon as I saw his name on here I knew he had passed away.
RIP Mr. Knotts.

I was watching one of those stupid entertainment shows last night, dunno which one, and they had Jim Nabors on. I teared up through the whole damn segment. I especially liked how Mr. Nabors said something to the effect of how people really want to live in a place like Mayberry and now Mr. Knotts is. Except he said it better than I did. It is really going to be hard now for me to watch the old Mayberry shows without crying.

Next to the word "nervous" in the dictionary is a picture of Don Knotts.
